Not a lot. The author spins a yarn and then places a page of un-footnoted ‘facts’ in the book, as if to confer authenticity to his fiction. What do you think of that Da Vinci Code?

There are dozens of threads already on this topic. Do a search for them. What do you think of that Da Vinci Code?
The Da Vinci Code is a load of rubbish and has been shown to be. Lots of books are available refuting it and even tv documentaries.
One thing you have to bear in mind is that Dan Brown is against Christianity and in particular hates the Catholic Church and he will do, say and write anything to try to cause it harm, particularly if he can make a few bucks doing it.
