The Daily EWTN Mass

Does anybody watch it? I’ve keeping up with it for a some time. (several weeks)
 
I have been watching it for years. I at least try to watch the homily as I am getting ready for court.
 
Yes, I watch it all the time. I used to be able to go to daily Mass but now my work schedule prevents me from going during the week, so I catch it online. It’s not the same as actually attending Mass and participating, but I do love to watch daily Mass on EWTN whenever possible. I enjoy the homily too! 🙂
 
I watch it, but sometimes I get distracted with all the back and forth english/latin. I wish it would be all in english or all in latin, not back and forth.

I personally believe that is what an OF mass should be. Some vernacular without giving our the Latin tradition. It’s the only type of OF mass I will attend.
 
I try to watch the Mass most days, shift work and other factors permitting. It usually isn’t possible for me to go to Mass on weekdays so being able to watch it on EWTN is a God-send.

Agreed. The cantor seems to steal the show and for the most part, the congregation does not sing out or sing at all. The organ playing is pretty good usually and the choice of hymns is quite respectable. Wonder if a prelude and postlude are ever played? I find the architecture of the building to be quite homely and the interior decorations incongruent with the exterior and general style of the building. Certainly not the beauty of the “Shrine”.
 
I don’t care to watch Mass on EWTN. It’s too long, all the music sounds the same, and It always seems to come on at a time when I really don’t want to watch Mass. I haven’t had EWTN for several years though, so maybe now I’d feel differently.
 
I watch the EWTN mass regularly. It is very good for shut-ins like myself.
 
Does the mass agree to the Dogmatic Constitution of the Church? . .

What about Vatican Councils I and II? . .

Or course it does! However, watching Mass on TV does not fulfill ones obligation to attend Mass at least weekly on Sunday (or Vigil Mass on Sat. evening).ONe must personally attend and worship at Mass unless prevented by a serious illness or incapacity.
