You have a lovely kind heart for less fortunate people to be moved to post this prayer.
And “Amen”
Be comforted that they will, if they live in practical love, in as far as is possible (Matthew 25, verses 31-46) as is evident in Jesus" The Parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus.* Luke 16 verses19-25
“There was a rich man* who dressed in purple garments and fine linen and dined sumptuously each day. And lying at his door was a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, who would gladly have eaten his fill of the scraps that fell from the rich man’s table. Dogs even used to come and lick his sores. When the poor man died, he was carried away by angels to the bosom of Abraham. The rich man also died and was buried, and from the netherworld,* where he was in torment, he raised his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side. And he cried out, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me. Send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am suffering torment in these flames.’ Abraham replied, ‘My child, remember that you received what was good during your lifetime while Lazarus likewise received what was bad; but now he is comforted here, whereas you are tormented.
As you know, those who are well of and seem to suffer less (but the truth is we usually don’t know a lot about each others’ crosses) who also live lives of practical kindness will also be welcomed by Jesus (Matthew 25:31-46. Jesus when speaking of His judgement of souls made clear how crucial practical kindness is. It can take many forms, small or large. I think we are to understand that the rich man showed no charity to the destitute man. He went on to appeal that his brothers be warned to amend their lives so they wouldn’t suffer his fate, but the answer was that if they wouldn’t listen to the Scriptures, they wouldn’t listen to someone from the grave.
Lord, it’s consoling to know that so many good people suffering endlessly and deeply, have hope of great joy in Heaven, thanks to You.
