God: Court is now in session. Will the defendant please rise…How does the defendant plead?
Satan: Not Guilty.

I’ll play the Devil’s advocate, for measure. Does not Jesus say, Love your enemies? Do good to those who curse you and despitefully use you; and to bless them?
Who abides more in Christ’s love, in measure of that love–the one who says curse you Satan, rot in hell? Or the one that says, Satan you are my enemy; but as Christ has taught, I should love my enemies; therefore I love you, Satan.
Which one of us abides more in Christ’s love? You or I?
And if a man has a sheep that falls into a pit on the Sabbath day–does not that man go out and pull that sheep up from the pit? Do you see the relevance in that statement?
The devil has fallen into a pit, what man among you if he lost a sheep would not go into the pit to save that sheep? And do we say to that sheep, I hate you devil now rise from the pit or do you say Christ’s love abides in me, therefore I have love for you Mr. devil, now rise and come out of that pit.
You claim that the devil is the epitome of evil–and you feed that evil with your hate. Can hate defeat hate? Or is it love that conquers all? Is not God perfect love and does not perfect love cast out fear? If God is love, and love gives it’s self away then why not have sympathy for the devil? And what God if he has lost one sheep to a pit does not pull that sheep out of the pit; and what better way is there than through love?
If God speaks a word then I will hold him to his words; what man if he has lost a sheep on the Sabbath day to a pit does not pull that lost sheep from that pit? because I will not be held to his words if He, himself, cannot be held to his words.
You say that God is all-powerful; but you say that the devil is beyond redemption, therefore, if God is all-powerful then how come God has not the power to raise a single lost sheep from a pit, even it be through love?
That which is humbled shall be exalted. And that which is exalted shall be humbled. Since you have humbled the devil, I shall exalt him–Satan is restored to the arch nemesis of God; and by my words I have humbled God, by saying that Satan is the arch nemesis of his light.

God shines his light upon the good and the evil. God’s light is LOVE. God’s love is perfect in that it casts out fear, even in the devil–and the devil has alot to fear from God. God is kind to the evil and to the un-thankful. You cannot destroy hate with hate. Only love can destroy hate. And what better way to destroy the perfect hate (devil) than with the perfect love (God). This is the marriage of Heaven and Hell I am talking about.
There’s an old proverb that goes something like this: Nothing could tame the beast until beauty scathed his hand and then from that day forward, the beast became one of us.
And what is more beautiful than perfect love; as the beast is afraid of judgement; and perfect love casts out fear.

Please! Don’t tell me that the perfect hate cannot be overcome with the perfect love, or we are all doomed.

Seen it. What is your point? Movies are the epitome of illusion.
They are not real, sweetie.
I get where you are going, you are merely drawing from experience of something that is not fact. I truly believe that a typical Christian worships two deities. One being the trinity and the other being Satan. When you sin, you say the devil made me do it; but then again the typical Christian will say, God has granted me free will; however, when you sin you say the devil influenced me, neglecting the fact that you have your free will. You place the burden of your sin upon the devil’s shoulders; in that, you have a scapegoat.
Let’s imagine a world where the devil didn’t exist; and you sinned. Whose shoulders would you place it upon? Now you have sin in this imaginary world and no cloke for your sin; since in this world, imaginary world, the devil doesn’t exist.
If you can keep that in mind, in this world, then, now–you have no cloke for your sin.

Objection, your honour!

While on remand Satan has committed serious crimes of sedition and corruption of creation whilst awaiting trial for betrayal and rebellion.

He has, no-doubt due to the current length of his imprisonment had the time to consider the size of his crimes and has shown no repentance or sympathy for his victims.

We the presecution demand the accused be held at His Majesty’s Pleasure for the sake of all parties.

Dear Mr heretic,
I think your fictional Movie Postings should not be under “Sacred Scripture” but “Fiction” or Movies section.will be more appropriate

Heretic: you have given the plea but you have not stated the charge against the defendant.

Satan doesn’t repent his actions. None of the fallen angels do; and we are told by God in the Bible that they never will. They are only sorry that they didn’t win.

You can’t have mercy on an enemy or a criminal until and unless that person is sorry for having done wrong. If Satan would repent, no doubt he could ask for God’s mercy and receive it. But he won’t. He doesn’t want to be saved. He’s too proud to admit he was wrong. He would rather drag humans down with him to eternal suffering than accept eternal happiness as a gift from the hand of God, whom he hates.

But Satan has what he wanted, really; he has a place away from God, where God doesn’t bother him. Of course, that makes it Hell, but that’s what he chose.

I still don’t think that The Heretic is looking for an honest answer, he/she only wants to play games.

You can’t have mercy on an enemy
Jesus said ‘love your enemies’.

We ALL do wrong. Most of the time, we are not even aware we have done wrong. That is how sad and sick we all are. We are so sin sodden and sin soaked, we do not even see the consquences of our sins.

Love is indeed a required attribute of the true Christian. Love in its true sense of desiring good for everyone, not the wishy-washy unconditional acceptance and tolerance idea that pop culture has turned it into.

And remember that love for God comes first rather than love for neighbour - the two don’t always go perfectly hand in glove.

Scripture shows us the correct attitude to take with regard to our obstinately sinful neignbour - ‘if your brother sins, rebuke (more or less gently correct) him, and if he repents, forgive him. If he does not repent, cast him out’
  • and Satan himself - ‘Get thee behind me Satan - your ways are not God’s ways’.
None of this is out of fear or hatred, but out of knowledge of the true path (which isn’t that of sin or of Satan) and love of God above all else.

That is why, when we (I) come to confession, we ask forgiveness “for these and for all of my sins, which I do not now recall.” I often add: "for all of my sins that I do not see, and especially for those I do not wish to see . . . "

There is one major difference and flaw in your argument. Jesus says love your neighbor which includes all of humanity. Well guess what. Satan is not a human. There is no requirement to love evil and that is all Satan is. There is no humanity in him.

Oh, and this insn’t about a crime committed and a court session. There was a war. Satin went to war with God and lost. Satin still given the chance, (if you want to go fictional, think of the Devil’s Advocate again), would strike again and go to war again since he is pure evil and will stop at nothing to corrupt as many souls as possible. Satin will always lose in the end but he isn’t ever going to change.

There is a biblical obligation to forgive, love and embrace fallen dieties?

BTW Satan is NOT a god. He is not a deity. Some folks worship him but that does not make him a diety.

We are to love our enemies, but we are also told to hate evil and hate sin. Satan is the very embodiment of evil and sin.

Objection you honor…
  1. No charges have been presented by the OP
  2. Relevelency… The standard set foruth by the OP cannot apply to Satan since the standard relates only to God’s relationship with humanity and Satan isn’t human.
  3. Case closed… This case has already been tried and judgement rendered in the appropriate venue.
