I’ve read it. It’s not extant so I would guess that would be one of the reasons it wasn’t included into the canon. Right about the area where it starts to get interesting it cuts off.How many have read the didache, and why do you think the didache not make it unto the Bible. The reason most commonly given was that while it was called the teaching of the Apostles, it didn’t claim authorship by a specific Apostle or an intimate of the Apostles such as Mark or Luke. It was however read in a number of early churches and put to good use.

The didache was a short summary of the teachings of Jesus, and the apostles, meant to be memorized. It was like the Creed. It was written before the Gospels. All that was contained within the Didache was written into the Gospels, therefore it was unnecessary to include it in the Bible.

Although I believe Athanasius, Didymus, and Eusebius among others referenced the work we did not have a copy until around 1873. Or at least a full version. The main reason it was not canonized was due to the inability to trace it to a specific Apostle.
