The difference in scriptures Catholic, non-Catholic.

I have a protastant friend who asked me a question about the scriptures. Are there any differences in the new testament from the protestant to the Catholic Bible. I realize there is many translations but I have heard there are missing sections of some books in the protestant Bible. Thank You Jim.
