Hello there I would like some help.
I’ve recently become attracted to using the traditional Dominican form of opening the Most Holy Rosary (V. O Lord, open my lips. R. And my mouth will declare your praise. V. O God, come to my assistance. R. O Lord, make haste to help me.). However I’ve seen conflicting reports on the ending prayers. Some give it as “V. May the divine assistance remain always with us. R. Amen.” and others as “V. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. R. Amen.” and others even state both. Which is the more common and traditional?
And also is there anywhere a general history describing the origins and use of this manner of opening and closing the Most Holy Rosary?
Many thanks!
