This is a Bible I plan to buy as many Catholics on other forums have recommended it. If anyone here owns it can you tell me how it differs from my current Bible (Jerusalem Bible)

Not to change the subject, but have you tried 'The Sword Project’. They have hundreds of bible versions w/ a template to view them with. The Douay-Rhiems Bible is also among the collections. They also have dictionaries, lexacons, plus!
Because it’s a older software, it may need some work to get it going, but the modules are the place to get many bible versions that explain what each version is intended for and for whom. :amen:

I have the D-R Bible with the Haydock Commentary and also one without it. I prefer the former because the Commentary is really good.
 
I own both a Jerusalem Bible and the Baronius Press edition of the Douay-Rheims.

The Jerusalem Bible is much easier to understand, since the DR was published in the 16th century. The Douay-Rheims is like the Catholic version of the King James Bible. Old, archaic language, which is nonetheless incredibly poetic and pleasing to one’s ear, but the NRSV and many other versions are much more accurate; having taken into account linguistic differences, which the original Latin Vulgate did not (the original source for the Douay-Rheims).

For study, I prefer the Jerusalem Bible. For my prayer life (I pray the hours) I prefer the Douay-Rheims.
