Perhaps that was Foreign Affairs magazine, which I believe has a rather long history. I never really heard of Foreign Policy magazine until reading this thread.

“To commemorate its 35th year, Foreign Policy magazine asked 16 well-known thinkers to ‘speculate on the ideas, values and institutions the world takes for granted that may disappear in the next 35 years.’ One decisive response came from Peter Singer, the Princeton philosopher, who wrote that, ‘the traditional view of the sanctity of life will collapse under pressure from scientific, technological and demographic developments.’”

:banghead: need I say more about my thoughts on this “philosopher.”

In a way, I love it when people like this go on record with their predictions.

I hope he lives long enough to see Partial-Birth Abortion (the D & X procedure for those like Janeane Garofalo who claim that PBA is a fraud and “there’s no such thing”) outlawed.

I hope he lives long enough to see Roe vs Wade struck down, like Dred Scott (and other) supreme court errors of the past.

And I hope he lives long enough to see the next generation of God’s pre-born who will eventually fill their lungs with air and convert the world by explaining to it why THEY are unequivocally Pro-Life !

Like Sylvia Brown, the big-selling new-age guru/psychic/whatever, who predicted on national television that John Paul II would be dead before the turn of the century, I look eagerly to (and pray fervently for) the future time when this man will simply and decisively be proven wrong.

One of my favorite scripture quotes is at the end of Psalm 22, which as we know Our Lord referred to (Psalm 22:1) amongst His last words on earth:

“The generation to come will be told of the Lord, that they may proclaim to a people yet unborn, the deliverance You have brought.”
