I really enjoyed reading these thoughts about the beginning of things. During todays homily, Father talked about God’s love for man. Every Man is loved equally by God and this loved translated into perfect union with Him at the end of time.
So what, exactly, to make of this brief interlude between the beginning of things as far as man is concerned and the end of time. We are told that this time is a time of purification after Adams sin. We are given this time since our Lord Jesus Christ suffered and died for our redemption.
Almighty God is perfect love. A love so vast it needed an object. We are the object of God’s perfect love. The devistating sin of Adam placed a barrier between God and man. We are loved despite the barrier of Sin. We are so loved that God sent his only son the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity. God’s word incarnate to teach us and remove the barrier of original sin.
Since we are a combination of spiritual and phyisical live we require a physical setting in which to work out our salvation. The earth we live on. Compatible with our physical needs is a precious gift from God. Jesus lived on this earth. His presence sanctified out temporary home. Just as his baptisim in the Jordan sanctified the live giving water by which we are made members of the mystical body of Christ.
God created everything from nothing for our use. All of His creation is good. I must use this gift according to His laws, united to Him and His people in love. Provided my purification is complete I anticipate in hope full union with God according to his plan for Adam befor the fall. What a joyful thought. I touched God this morning in the Holy Eucharist. I had a sense that everything is in order.
