Yes, clearly there is nothing in Church doctrine that supports this.
However, at what point should people expect Church leadership to be in allignment with Church doctrine?

At every point people should expect leadership to be in allignment with doctrine, however, since these were human beings that tend to sin that were involved, mistakes were made. This does not mean that the doctrine is in error.

I think people are not getting the full facts of the case.

Just like when the Social and Justice congregation issued a statement for a global economy…then the media had the pope up proclaiming new world order…

The document was immediately pulled and was reflecting the convictions of those who composed it, but not the universal church.

You have to separate humanity from its beliefs…

And I can say our beliefs are consistent.
