The Catholic Church was the only TRUE Christian Church for 1,500 years and still is the only ONE, Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church founded by Jesus Christ. History tells us that , if you don’t believe what Scripture says about Christ’s Church, study history… Study the Scripture quotes I gave above! Compare the 2,000 year old One, Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church founded by Jesus Christ, still teaching the truths that Jesus gave us, all 7 Sacraments, Apostolic Succession, (no guess work, doubt in that) Peter (Pope) as our head, the Blessed Mother and all our holy Saints to help us, what more could you ask for? Are we all saints, defiantly NOT, Judas was hand picked by Jesus and yet he was a traitor. But the Church is always true in Her teachings and faith and morals. If the Holy Spirit wasn’t guiding and protecting Christ’s Catholic Church, it would have destroyed itself centuries ago, without the help of all it’s enemies. You don’t need to tell us anything about our human faults and sins, We know all about that and thank God for the Sacrament of Confession. But the Catholic Church and it’s teaching authority are strong and faithful to Our Lord and always will be. Now Compare all that to the thousands of different denominations that have come on the scene in the past 500 years or so that don’t even agree with each other on many important beliefs. I prefer to stay with the Catholic Church, no matter what those within may have done to try to harm Her or what the media or anyone else throws at Her. My faith is in Jesus Christ and what HE said about HIS Church. And history has proven to be true. God Bless, Memaw

Thank you. You have said it. History, records. They are all there. The only reason why Protestant churches do not have the Sacraments is simply because they do not have priests to confect them. It is easier not to believe the Sacraments rather than trying to justify their priests that do not have apostolic succession. Unfortunately this is a hard truth when discussing with Protestants and it may hurt. But history, records are all there; they do not lie. For all the bad thing that Catholics did or whether they are the same Catholic Church of the old as accused by their detractors, it is still the same Church that can be traced back all the way to the apostles. This is hard fact but nevertheless need to be told.
You believe peter was the first pope, am I correct in saying that he was married, where does celibacy come from?
It comes from the fact that Jesus wasn’t married.
That is a Church discipline NOT a Doctrine !! Mt19:12, 1Cor 7:32-35, 1Cor 7:8. It’s much easier to give God his full attention, for a priest that doesn’t have a family to care for. God Bless, memaw
Hi. It was mentioned that Peter had a mother-in-law in the Gospel. A natural conclusion from that he was married. It is interesting nothing was mentioned of his wife though or whether she was still alive after the Pentecost.
What would be your response to that if a pope changed it in the future?
It is my opinion that many talented men have opted not to become priests due to the celibacy requirement. Consequently, if the pope changed this discipline, I believe there would be an explosion of vocations.
If they use that as a reason then they need to seriously reevaluate things lol.

Well you stated earlier that the priest can better serve the community and God if he is not. Would he be less than fruitful if a pope allowes priest to marry again?
On the other hand if you talk to most Catholic priest, they would tell you that their celibacy is a gift from God. I have heard many married priest say the same thing. They realize the importance of it. I don’t believe I ever heard of anyone dying because they lived a celebrate life, priest or otherwise. God Bless, Memaw.
