Jesus has the nature of God and the human nature. He is unique. God cannot die. Jesus took on a human nature, so that He could offer Himself up on behalf of every human being.
 
Do you mean that Jesus was still in heaven and he created another body or a human nature which would be offered up ?
 
Christians believe that God is three Persons
Father, Son and Holy Spirit
It was God’s plan, from all eternity to assume a human nature.
In the fullness of time, God sent His Son, born of a woman, into the world.
 
Help me out. Where in the Bible does it say that it was God’s plan to take on human nature? thanks
 
The language of prophecy does not have the exactness of mathematics , but here are a few instances . The Only Person Ever Pre-announced.
1 Peter 1.20 Foreknown indeed, before the foundation of the world, he has been manifested in the last times for your sakes "
Isaias 53.7 " He shall be led, as a sheep to the slaughter; and shall be dumb as a lamb, before his shearer , and he shall not open his mouth…
Acts 8.32 " Now the passage of scripture which he was reading was this " he was led like a sheep to slaughter, and just as a lamb, dumb before its shearer …who shall declare his generation ? for his life is taken from the earth "
John 1: 29-31 The next day John saw Jesus coming to him, and he said " Behold the lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. This is he of whom I said, After me, there comes one who has been set above me because he was before me.

You may be interested to know that the advent of Jesus was expected around the world, not just among Jews EG the Magi, in China , the Greeks also had an expectation and the Romans.
 
Hi again… If you understood the prophecy in chapter 4 of the book of Daniel, you would realize the it points to the year 1914 as when God’s kingdom was established in the heavens. This year also marked by the first World War, as indicated would occur. See Matthew chapter 24
 
It does have all the signs of the end times. It is possible. But this could be a long period. Jesus says,

Matthew 24:36-44 New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)
The Necessity for Watchfulness
36 “But about that day and hour no one knows, neither the angels of heaven, nor the Son,[a] but only the Father. 37 For as the days of Noah were, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark, 39 and they knew nothing until the flood came and swept them all away, so too will be the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Then two will be in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. 41 Two women will be grinding meal together; one will be taken and one will be left. 42 Keep awake therefore, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. 43 But understand this: if the owner of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an unexpected hour.

We just have to keep doing what we are doing. It could be any day.
 
If it is the end times we better hurry Nasa along and get off this rock before it ends.
 
Here is a references from Hebrews 10:5-7

"Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: “Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased. Then I said, ‘Here I am—it is written about me in the scroll— I have come to do your will, my God.’”

The author here is quoting Psalm 40:6-8 from the Septuagint (the Greek translation of the Hebrew scriptures)

And also see Isaiah 9:6 which says

‘For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.’

The Holy Ghost probably didn’t tell you that the end times are approaching, because NO ONE will know the time or the hour.

Isaiah 9: 6 Jesus is called mighty god, not almighty God.
 
Revelation 1:10 tells us that the vision that the apostle John saw was in the “Lords Day”. Has anyone ever told you about a prophecy in the book of Daniel chapter 4 that points to the year 1914. This coincides with the events that Jesus told his followers to watch for in Matthew chapter 24. Very interesting !!
Ask Jehovah’s witnesses, they seem to know more about this.

Even though Jesus himself is the 2nd person of the Trinity, he often referred to God as his Father in the gospels. I think it’s a perfect foretelling of what the upcoming 2nd reading will be on Palm Sunday: “His state was divine, yet Christ Jesus did not cling to his equality with God, but emptied himself to assume the condition of a slave, and became as all men are, and being as all men are, he was humbler yet…”

But this question could be a thread in itself, where many others could contribute, for the answers are many, and I have only cited an example.
 
This may seem hard to believer but some years ago I purchased a used book called "Dictionary of The Bible. It was produced by a Jesuit priest called "John McKenzie SJ. It was published in the early 60’s and sanctioned by the church. In the section “God” he explains that if you look at the Greek language from which the NT [new testament] was mainly written in you will see that Jesus is the “son of God” not God.
He explains that in the NT the Greek word applied to God is ho-theos or “the God”, whereas Jesus in Greek is only referred to as “theos” That is why in the Bible the reference to “almighty God” is mentioned the word God is usually in capital letters. He goes on to state " John 1:1 should be rigorously be translated “the word was a divine being” One of the scriptures he refers to is: John 20:28 where Jesus refers to God as his God.
