The Enlightenment

The teaching of Jesus is not concerned with world plans but with the here and now. His primary concern was to condemn evil and injustice in the present not in some nebulous future. Jesus didn’t condemn private property but the injustice and the self-righteousness of the rich and powerful.

The ensuing political and economic systems are certainly pertinent to the question:

“Is my friend right by saying that the Enlightenment** freed **humanity?”

As Acapiteadcalcem has pointed out:
