While I do not wish to dispute the particulars of Church teaching or Jewish law and practice, etc. I must take issue with a couple of things.
  1. You say that “they are incorrect”, yet how can this be since the Holy Father has said that the EO has a valid priesthood and valid Sacraments?
My apologies for not being more clear. They are incorrect in asserting that leavened bread can be the Eucharist when unleavened bread, which is what is required in Sacred Scripture and what Christ would have used, is not.

I’m not saying they don’t have a valid sacrament, just that their rejection of our Eucharist as invalid is incorrect.
  1. Jesus, a good Jew, was not above doing things outside of Jewish Law. He healed on the Sabbath, he said that it is not what goes in the mouth but what comes out that defiles a man and in a vision, told Peter not to call “unclean” that which God has made.
Nonetheless, the old covenant requirements of the passover require unleavened bread, and those requirements are recorded as originating from God, rather than from levitical, pharisaic, or rabbinic law. So when Jesus healed on the sabbath, He was rejecting rabbinic law, which is altogether different than rejecting divine law.

For example, Christ had to die to fulfill the requirements of the passover. Christ died with no broken bones (an unblemished lamb) etc. All the requirements of the passover were met in the passion of the Christ, including the requirement to dispose of all leaven when celebrating passover. In other words, the parts of jewish law that were punitive (levitical) were fulfilled in the passion. The parts of Jewish law that were man-made, namely the pharisaic and the rabbinic, were NEVER part of divine law to begin with, and so Christ had no problem doing away with those… but when it came to the divine law that was laid forth by God, those Christ held fast to.

Thanks for the clarification.
Much appreciated.

Understood.

without quoting …im half asleep its late …you mentioned Jesus used bread in last supper like the Cathlic host?

maybe ive seen too many last supper paintings where they use big bread looking like Rolls ,i always thought they used normal large eating bread like we would use when we eat lunch or so

truthbook.com/images/site_images/Del_Parson_Last_Supper_400.jpg

Also with the Host becoming Christs body/blood

Is it like a sponge how if it is dry without water in it, thats when its unconsecrated

but with the consecration and prayers the sponge like becomes soaked(full of water) with grace?

so unconsecrated host = dry sponge

Consecrated host= water soaked sponge

water being Christ himself and his grace/holy spirit

Hi Paul theApostle,
You said, I dont understand how the Catholic Communion Host is the Flesh of Christ

Jesus is God. He created our galaxy, the Milky Way with millions of stars like our
sun, and stars that are thousands of light years apart. He also created millions of other
galaxies like our milky way. Now Jesus says, “This is my Body”. “Unless you eat my
flesh and drink my blood, you cannot have life in you.” After all the galaxies, I have no
problem whatsoever.

Many reverts and converts have said, “lots of baggage” that has to be left behind.
Once the decision has been made to leave it completely, then the healing and growing begins.

“More blessed are those who believe and have not seen” applies to the Eucharist as well.
