Born in a shed in a financial ruined family in 1603, this man seemed a miserable specimen of humanity, this 10-page account well shows in its first sections. He was incompetent in every way and unable to hold a job. No one wanted him, even his mother. Finally, though he didn’t do poorly at all when he was put into the stable at a monastery to care for a mule. But then people began to see an admirable side to him. Then at last his extraordinary relationship with God began to be evident, which became visible through some extraordinary supernatural events, especially when he levitated during prayer as some saints have done, something in his own case seen many times by other people. These things were taken into account too when he was canonized in 1767.

Oh, woah, his Feast Day is tomorrow. 🙂 Good timing, right at the beginning of the academic year. I will make sure to pray to him tomorrow. 🙂

I just read the link. It was really entertaining and written very well - amusing. 🙂

For those who have not seen the movie, it’s an old one but a goody.

I like Cupertino in an endearing way as I do Jonah.

May Saint Cupertino intercede for all those in CAF who started a new academic year and may we all do well. 😛
