The face of Jesus

I was doing some article hopping the other day and came upon this rather interesting photo that is allegedly the face of Jesus. I’ll quote some of the article down below:

This photo took place as a result of a miracle of the Eucharist.

It was during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) when havoc hit Spain, looters took to the streets stealing what was thought to be worth money.

Unfortunately, the Churches were broken into, so, when a priest safeguarded a ciborium containing the Consecrated Hosts by taking it home, he took a picture of it and this picture of Jesus materialized on the photo.

Gladys Herminia Quiroga de Motta, the seer of the Our Lady of the Rosary of San Nicolas has stated that this picture is the face of Jesus. The apparitions were approved last year.

I’d say His nose is extremely similar to the nose of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Her talent at that age is amazing. Is she Catholic by any chance?
 
The face from the shroud of Turin is the most accurate one - even some Protestants believe in it.
 
Yes I understand that she is Catholic, through conversion after her visions of Jesus at age 4.
 
Some of the earliest depictions of Jesus have been dated around the 6th and 7th Century with the renaissance really diving into depicting Jesus. Photographs are easily reproduced and easily able to be manipulated by anyone at any time of the process of taking a photograph, it would literally take scientists, and clergy sent from the Vatican , to inspect a physical camera inside and out, then go to the facility to where the film is made an inspect that for anything remotely plausable for tampering and then to have the film made, have more people watch the film be loaded, and not only one camera it would actually take at least three physical cameras, painfully inspected as with the film, and the people vetted by everyone in the history of vetting people, it just isn’t worth the time or money trying to set up a way to basically photograph Jesus and then have it verified as legit.

Chances are someone manufactured the photo in question, no one has any real solid proof of what Jesus looks like, and there is never ending debate on the shroud of turin being real, so who knows.

Things like this I would guess are circulated to build the faith, even if it is fabricated it becomes well, it isn’t hurting anyone so why not.

An any photography major let alone anyone with photoshop skills can reproduce that image and or make a better one.

( again this is not an attack on anyone, if you are offended that is on you not me, feel free to disagree to anything i have said, as i will not be back to read what you have said nor engage in any conversation, i am merely responding to the original posted question. )

This is true, pictures can be manipulated. Sadly, I haven’t found much information on the authenticity of the photo. Hopefully one day I do.

Adding again to the discussion, I also dug up this other photo taken by Sister Ana Ali who had visions of Jesus that are now Church approved and who is also currently on track for sainthood.

Her friends at first did not believe the picture she took was real, so they bought a new camera for her. The same photo appeared again.

I was revealing what God had told me and they didn’t believe but these are the real words from God, ‘Listen to me I am above this earth, I have allowed you and you alone to photograph me for them to know the truth’. I managed to photograph Him but what surprised me is that when I took the full image, it came out a passport size picture of the image of Christ because he did not want people to know what he looks like.

It to me is like the shroud of turin, the Shroud will never be allowed to be properly tested, an thusly there will always remain doubt, but what the Shroud represents far out weighs its’ authenticity it is a symbol of Christ, same with a photograph, same with these odd articles that pop up once in awhile about a potatoe chip that is has a image of Christ on it, or a tree stump with the image of Mary on it.

It is like seeing the face on the moon, or putting food together in such a way that it looks like a happy face.

A bit harder to refute would be some kind of thermo image where there is a heat source and a clear image of the face. Kind of like that show Ghost Hunters, If someone took the time to at least see what they could find and did some kind of sluthing with some tech like that, could be interesting.

But again, if what ever the image is, is respectful, an brings people to Christ and or the Church, its’ authenticity isn’t as important, but is interesting.
 
I painted Jesus long ago in 1989. I just decided to do it one day. I’ve had it hung on my wall ever since. We talk daily.(Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.)
