Eternal rest grant unto them, Oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. x5
And I especially pray for all those who have no one praying for them.

Please everyone…
I did not know where to post this, I just am trying to survive right now. My Mom died at work this past Tuesday, November 22, 2011. I am really having a horrid time and experience. I would like to ask you all PLEASE to pray for her soul to be relieved of any sorrow or pain and pray for her soul and spirit to get to God a.s.a.p.? PLEASE? She is a WONDERFUL, GENEROUS, CARING, LOVING person. She has been Catholic/Christian FOREVERRRRR and I … “ME” need the prayer for her soul because of how I feel. I want to be CERTAIN she gets where she worked so very hard to be at the point she is at now. It’s only been 3 days and I am so upset over this! Certainly unexpected. After my Grandmother and younger Brother passed away in the past few years, this is the WORST! PLEASE HELP HER RECEIVE HER BLESSINGS FROM THE LORD? Please ON SUNDAY IN CHURCH all of you pray for her soul? Thank you so very much, God Bless You. This article below was on the front page of our local newspaper on Thanksgiving. I love her and cannot even explain the pain! 😦

Dearest Bittebehling,

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes
in me (and your Mom believed), shall not perish but have everlasting life, with Him. Amen

Your mom is safe in the arms of Jesus, because she belongs with Him.

I will definitely include her in my prayers. I know you can also ask your mom to pray for you and all of us too.

May God welcome her into His Arms. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.:highprayer:

It is 1:30 AM. We received a call just after 1:00 AM informing us my grandmother has passed away a few minutes ago. So I’m asking, please pray for the soul of Mary Bettencourt.

We had planned on spending Thanksgiving with my sister, and her family, down Paso Robles (San Louis Obispo). But we got a call from my uncle, my mother’s brother, that my grandmother had taken a turn for the worse and had been moved from the assisted care facility to the hospital. Her kidneys had started shutting down. So we headed up to Chico Wednesday night. We stayed with her a good part of the day Thursday, she was stable. We were invited to join one of my cousin’s family, there in Chico, for Thanksgiving, going back to the hospital afterward. I led the rosary, with my parents answering the prayers. My grandmother tried to answer along, but became clearly frustrated when she couldn’t -her speech had all but left her, we can only make out a few mumbled words. I nodded to her that it was alright and she seemed to have calmed down. Since the passing of my grandfather a dozen years ago, she used to say her rosary several times a day, and now had not been able to say it for some time. I know this in itself has been a trial for her.

We returned home Friday evening -my mother is having a particularly difficult time of it. My siblings have also been up. On Saturday, while another of my sisters was up there, my grandmother was moved back to the assisted care facility where she was placed in a private room. They had her on I.V. -nothing by mouth. Breathing had become much more difficult for her, and slowly her other organs started shutting down. My uncle had already started making funeral arrangements.

My grandmother was 99 years old. Her birthday is December 24, and we had been planning a party for her 100th, but she never expressed any interest or even desire to celebrate that milestone. I can tell you She had a very hard life. Much of it did not come to light until after my grandfather had passed. We found out, mostly through others, he had been a hard, cruel man, and a womanizer. They had a dairy that they worked together well into their 70’s (there are no days off when you have a dairy). She worked hard. And she prayed hard. Prayed for him. Prayed for us.

My grandmother had always been a faithful daughter of the Church, and I’m -we all are- convinced she prayed my grandfather back into the Church. He went to confession, and started going back to the sacraments again. About seven years later he was diagnosed with cancer. In his final illness he wanted to die at home, and we made sure that could happen. He received the last rights, and before he died he called my grandmother to his side, apologized for everything he had put her through, and asked for her forgiveness. …That, only possible by the grace of God, and my grandmother’s constant prayers.

She had always had a strong devotion to Our Lady of Fatima, and to the Holy Spirit (these two devotions run strong in the Portuguese culture). So our prayer for her had been that Our Lady pray before the throne of her son, Our Lord, for my grandmother; that she be comforted in this final trial. And that the Holy Spirit come, and take her peacefully, home to heaven.

Eternal rest grant unto her, oh Lord. And let perpetual Light shine upon her. May she rest in peace.

Eternal Rest, grant unto them O Lord, and Let perpetual light shine upon Them. May They Rest in peace. May the souls of the faithfully departed, through the Mercy of God Rest in Peace. Amen

Praying for all of you for eternal rest in the loving arms of our Lord.

Lord please grant eternal life to my friend Mary’s father who passed away yesterday. Please birng comfor to Mary and her mother and family at this sad time.Amen

Eternal life grant unot him O Lord
may perpetual light shine upon him
and may he rest in peace Amen

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

May God, through the intercession of Jesus and His Mother, receive your grandmother in His Arms with Blissful Peace forever.:grouphug::blessyou::amen::nun1::byzsoc:
