Praying for the souls of my departed love ones. Those that I knew: great-grandparents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, the unborn , friends, and passersby. May your souls and the souls of all the departed rest in peace.

Lord hear our prayers.

Incline Thine ear, O Lord to our prayer, in which we humbly entreat Thy mercy; bring to the country of peace and light the soul of Thy servants which Thou hast summoned to go forth from this world and bid them to be numbered with Thy saints.
Through Christ Our Lord, Amen

Glory be to The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be
World without end
Amen

Pope Francis’s prayer for the departed.

“We remember the victims of war and violence, the many ‘little ones’ of the world crushed by hunger and poverty,” he said to the crowds in St. Peter’s Square. “We remember the anonymous who rest in common graves. We remember our brothers and sisters killed because they are Christians, and those who sacrificed their lives to serve others. We especially entrust to the Lord those who have left over the last year.”

“Church tradition has always urged prayer for the dead, in particular by offering the celebration of the Eucharist for them: it is the best spiritual help that we can give to their souls, particularly to the most abandoned ones,” he continued. “The foundation of prayers in suffrage of souls is in the communion of the Mystical Body.”

The Pope also offered a prayer for the dead:

God of infinite mercy, we entrust to Your immense goodness all those who have left this world for eternity, where you await all humanity, redeemed by the precious blood of Christ Your Son, who died to save us from our sins.

Look not, Lord, at our poverty, misery, and human weaknesses when we present ourselves before You to be judged in happiness or condemned. Gaze upon us with pity, born of Your tender heart and help us to walk the path of purification.

May none of your children be lost to the eternal fires of hell, where repentance is no more.

We entrust to You, Lord, the souls of our beloved departed, of those who died without the comfort of the sacraments or who did not have the opportunity to repent, not even at the end of their life.

May no one fear the encounter with You at the end of their earthly pilgrimage, in the hope of being welcomed within the embrace of your infinite mercy. May sister death find us in prayerful vigilance, and full of all the good we have done during our existence, be it long or short.

Lord, may nothing distance us from you on this earth, may everything and everyone support us in our ardent hope to serenely and eternally rest in You. Amen.

Praying for Mom and Lois,

We keep you in our hearts.

Remember,
O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that any one who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help or sought thy intercession,
was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence,
I fly unto thee,
O Virgin of virgins my Mother;
to thee do I come,
before thee I stand,
sinful and sorrowful;
O Mother of thy Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions,
but in thy clemency hear and answer me.
Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace,
The Lord is with Thee;
Blessed art thou among women,
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Our Father,
who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Incline Thine ear, O Lord to our prayer, in which we humbly entreat Thy mercy; bring to the country of peace and light the soul of Thy servants which Thou hast summoned to go forth from this world and bid them to be numbered with Thy saints.
