O my Jesus,
forgive us our sins,
save us from the fires of hell,
lead all souls to Heaven,
especially those
most in need of Thy mercy.

Amen.

A Prayer for the Forgotten Dead

O merciful God,
take pity on those souls
who have no particular friends and intercessors
to recommend them to Thee; and who,
either through the negligence of those who are alive,
or through length of time, are forgotten
by their friends and by all.

Spare them, O Lord,
and remember Thine own Mercy,
when others forget to appeal to it.
Let not the souls which Thou hast created
be parted from Thee, their Creator.

May the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Amen.

Eternal rest grant unti them, O Lord.
And let perpetual light shine upon them.
May they rest in peace
Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer you the Most Precious Blood of your Divine Son Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.

Prayer for the Dead

God our Father,
Your power brings us to birth,
Your providence guides our lives,
and by Your command we return to dust.

Lord, those who die still live in Your presence,
their lives change but do not end.
I pray in hope for my family,
relatives and friends,
and for all the dead known to You alone.

In company with Christ,
Who died and now lives,
may they rejoice in Your kingdom,
where all our tears are wiped away.
Unite us together again in one family,
to sing Your praise forever and ever.

Amen.

I TAKE GREAT SOLACE IN BEING A CATHOLIC AND THAT WE “THE CHURCH MILITANT” CAN PRAY FOR THE “CHURCH SUFFERING”. Protestants don’t believe in praying for the dead and their founder Martin Luther removed the book of Maccabees from the Bible because of it.

O Lord, Who art ever merciful and bounteous with Thy gifts, look down upon the suffering souls in purgatory. Remember not their offenses and negligences, but be mindful of Thy loving mercy, which is from all eternity. Cleanse them of their sins and fulfill their ardent desires that they may be made worthy to behold Thee face to face in Thy glory. May they soon be united with Thee and hear those blessed words which will call them to their heavenly home: "Come, blessed of My Father, take possession of the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world."
