I would like to request prayers for my grandma who passed away earlier this summer.

Thank you :signofcross:

Our Father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name, The kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and foregive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil Amen

O kind and gentle father all things that are come from you and it is all good. Please draw to youself all mentioned here, especially that soul most in need. We ask this through the intersession of all the saints in heaven, on this, their special day of rememberance. Gracious God, three in one, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Amen and all Glory is yours.

Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord
Let perpetual light shine upon her
May Jen’s soul and the souls of all the faithful departed
Through the mercy of God
Rest in peace. Amen

I would like to ask for prayers for my father Arthur.
He passed away October 25, 2007 in southwest Michigan. He was born 9-2-36.
I am still numb.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He was a methodist and never converted after marrying my mother, but really supported our catholic upbringing. We were the catholic kids that new all the Bible stories! He knew all the issues, practices and tenents of the catholic faith and would test our understanding with friendly arguments.
There are so many special things I hope I can remember them all.

In loving memory of my sister, Betty Rosario, who died of lung cancer on October 5, 2007. She is the baby of the family and was only 43 years old! This year, All Saints & All Souls Days were difficult celebrations for me, but I trust in the love and mercy of Our Lord. May His light shine on Betty now that she gets to contemplate His face in eternity! 🙂

I’m so sorry to hear about your sister. Your whole family is in my prayers.

I’m asking for prayers for Danny Aurit and his family. Danny died Saturday after a heroic fight with cancer, his family by his side.

Thanks mommyof4 for your prayers. May they rise as incense to the Father in heaven!

To Danny Aurit’s family - my prayers are with you. My sister, Betty died of lung cancer on Oct. 5. When two or more are gathered in His name, there is Jesus in their midst. May the spirit of cancer be banned to the netherworld!

Thank you DrMargie for your prayers. I’m sorry for your loss of your sister Betty. I’ll pray for you and her. I’m a 4 year survivor of stage 3 cancer and I know how easy it is to just go to sleep in the Lord. He is indeed merciful to us at that hour. Tim

I would like to pray for my baby son, Joseph Marie, who was born dead. Tomarrow is his first birthday. I know he is happy in heaven, but my heart still aches for him.

Let me explain this thread and hope that the purpose of it will be shared by everyone who contributes to it in loving memory of those we love.

Let me set this up…
Last night, I was pondering how to post my 10,000th. on CAF. Maggieodae already posted a rosary thread for my mother who would have been 84 years old today. Twenty-Two days after the last birthday she celebrated, our mother died of cancer.

Originally I wanted my 10,000th. post to be the starting of this thread and I wanted EVEYONE to share in it by making this thread a memorial thread for those who you remember fondly, whether it is your parents, siblings, spouse, friend, teacher…whoever!

You can post as much or as little as you want about the person (depending on how private or public you want to be about your departed loved one: I will be using my mother’s maiden full name). My posting can be used as an example.

Mom, We Miss You and Pray for us in union with Our Lord!

Mom loved Pineapple Upside Down cake and coconut macaroons.

In memory of my maternal grandmother who passed away on this day in 2001. One of the few reasons I am Catholic- and she used to go on saying 3 Hail Mary’s and trying to get the priest to bless me when he came to administer the Sacrament to her. A very simple, old fashioned and very kind old lady, who raised her children when her husband died early, and whose example of suffering before her death was heroic. May the ever-Virgin Mary, Perpetual Help and Help of Christians, to whom my grandmother had an immense devotion especially in her final moments, pray for her.
I heard a voice from heaven say to me: Blessed the dead who die in the Lord*
*
To you our praise is due O God who dwells in Sion. O hear my prayer for to you shall all flesh come. *

The thought of death has always been difficult for me. It must be for everyone. The most trying time of my life was the occasion of my dear mother’s passing. She suffered terribly before that time and her dying consisted of many of the moral dilemmas of our time. But that is for a different thread I quess.

God, in his infinite wisdom, asked a lot of mom. She responded with generosity, grace, and most of all faith. The church in her hometown benefited much from her generous labors. Most of all, as I reflect back, it is her 9 children who are the ultimate beneficiaries. The sorrow in me grows when I think of what an ungrateful child I have been.

Mom, in heaven with God, forgive this unthinking child. Know that I think and ask God to be infinitely generous with you.

Christ, the son of God, born of the Blessed Virgin Mary, mother of God, in your dying you destroyed our death and in you rising you restored us to eternal life. Amen

Coping with the mother passed away is painful. However if you bear this suffer to share with God 'pain . Your suffering will get better. I will pray for you special in my daily mass. May the Holy Trinity protect you.
Love in Jesus

My darling husband Lawrence died suddenly and unexpectedly on the 2nd.of October this year, he was only 56. A great guy.He supported me and our five children unstintingly and always with good humour and great kindness. He worked abroad alot although his main office was here in Scotland and he was in Aberdeen when he died. He looked forward to the time when he could slow down a little and begin to enjoy being at home much more often. However 4 of our kids are still at University and he knew it would be sometime before he could think of himself. I absolutely believe that the Lord has been merciful to him and that he is indeed with Him now.
I thank God for having created Lawrence and for all the good and selfless things that this dear husband and father did for us - all God inspired.

Eternal rest grant unto him o Lord and let Your perpetual light shine upon darling Lawrence.
May his soul and all the souls of those who died in Your friendship, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

I would like to dedicate this post to my Loved One’s Father in other words my Father In Law, whom i have never seen and he died when my loved one was 3 years old. I pray that he rests in peace in the hands of our Lord Jesus.
