Please pray for the reposed soul of God’s faithful servant Brother David Downey, O.S.B. He passed on several weeks ago. I wanted to go to funeral in OK but have been tied up with things here in TX. He was a man of great simplicity and great faith. He will be miss by family and friends. Say a prayer for me as well as I am still mourning the loss of my brother from a couple a months ago.

For Paul Francis Sanders (1983-2008) and Janine Lieu (1985-2008), students of Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Academy in Barry’s Bay, Ontario, Canada, who drowned on Saturday February 2nd, 2008, the Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord, requiescant in pace. Amazingly, both of these young zealous Catholics were planning on entering the Religious Life. May this event bring them, their family and friends, and all involved closer to Our Lord and His Blessed Mother.

May I ask a question? If we post our prayers here, how can God know? Will any worshipers that make prayers on this page say it again the next time they go to Church or just post the prayers only without further actions?:o

🙂 Rest assured God is not limited as we humans…He heard the prayers even before they were typed here.
 
I would like to ask for prayers for my boyfriend, Scott, and his mother, who were both killed in a car accident a couple of weeks ago and only a week before Scott’s 21st birthday. Scott was an incredibly friendly, caring person who had a very strong faith in God. I only knew him for seven months but he had a huge impact on my life. He was the best friend I have ever had and I miss him so, so much. 😦

Please also pray for his 18 year old brother who is now pretty much on his own.

Today is the 8th anniversary of the death of my mom, my brother, my sister and my half-sister and my step father. They all died on the same day and about the same time in a massacre.

Please help me pray for them. I am asking prayers for them. And if someone could offer them in Mass with me that would be great.

Last night, I was pondering how to post my 10,000th. on CAF. Maggieodae already posted a rosary thread for my mother who would have been 84 years old today. Twenty-Two days after the last birthday she celebrated, our mother died of cancer.

Originally I wanted my 10,000th. post to be the starting of this thread and I wanted EVEYONE to share in it by making this thread a memorial thread for those who you remember fondly, whether it is your parents, siblings, spouse, friend, teacher…whoever!

You can post as much or as little as you want about the person (depending on how private or public you want to be about your departed loved one: I will be using my mother’s maiden full name). My posting can be used as an example.
