Thank you for your prayer as it has become yet another source of consolation and hope.:console: God Bless you always!

I am sharing with you this prayer, a copy of which is in my personal organizer. I find it handy to have this with me all the time so that I could immediately pray for a person as soon as I found out that he/she has passed away:

Responsory for the Dead

V. Do not remember my sins, O Lord
R. When you come to judge the world by fire
V. Direct my way in your sight, O Lord, my God.
R. When you come to judge the world by fire.
V. Give him/her eternal rest, O Lord, and may your light shine on him/her for ever.
R. When you come to judge the world by fire
V. Lord have mercy.
R. Christ have mercy; Lord have mercy.
All:
Our Father… sin against us.
V. Do not bring us to the test.
R. But deliver us from evil.
V. From the gates of hell.
R. Deliver his/her soul, O Lord.
V. May he/she rest in peace
R. Amen.
V. Lord, here my prayer.
R. And let my cry come to you.
V. The Lord be with you.
R. And also with you.
V. Let us pray.
Lord, welcome into your presence your son/daughter N., whom you have called from this life. Release him/her from all his/her sins; bless him/her with eternal light and peace; raise him/her up to live for ever with all your saints in the glory of the Resurrection. We ask this through Christ, our Lord.
R. Amen.
V. Give him/her eternal rest, O Lord
R. And may your light shine on him/her for ever.
V. May he/she rest in peace.
R. Amen.
V. May his/her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
R. Amen.

What a beautiful prayer thankyou for sharing with us.God bless

My grandparents, Bernie and Regina. I can’t possibly post on only one because they were truly one. Their house was always bursting full of people, and of love. Grandma taught me how to draw a star, and Grandpa told me things about Hollywood movie tricks that I knew weren’t true.

Grandpa used to smile constantly, contagiously, and loved us so much, and we loved him so much, that the moment he died all of the adults in the family felt a wind blow through the room that woke them up, all at the same time, no matter if they were in the other room or miles away. He was so proud of his children, and constantly talked with his grandchildren, sitting us on his lap or just spending time.

Grandma was a diva. She was the most beautiful person in the world, and her playful stubbornness will survive generations. Her favorite saint is St. Teresa, the Little Flower. She once scared off the neighbor girl scouts selling cookies, because her tiny dog was named cookie, and the girls didn’t see the dog at the door, just saw Grandma running to the door yelling, cookie, cookie! My family had moved away by then, and as a sign that everything was ok she asked God to make it snow at the cemetary, which was the first time I had seen snow in years.

Enternal rest grant unto them O, Lord.

And let perpetual light shine upon them…

May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed,

through the Mery of God, rest in peace,
Amen

please pray for my Mother and Father who i miss so very mush ,may God grant that i meet them again sincerely Maureen :

Thinking much about My Beloved Father. Dad I Love You So Much.

Prayer Of Cardinal Newman

May He support us all the day long, till the shades lengthen and the evening comes, and the busy world is hushed, and the fever of life is over, and our work is done. Then in His mercy may He give us a safe lodging, and a holy rest and peace everlasting. Amen

For my grandma , who i did not see even a single glimpse for i never met her. she died before my birth and was so excited for me to be born yet she never had even a single glimpse, she has been gone for 14 years and grandpa in my father’s side, who i was afraid to see him before, and has been gone for 12 years. For my cousins, Darrel and darwin who stand as our angels and a good playmate, cousin and friend, have been gone for 7 years as well as their mother. For my uncle, who also died, 7 years ago, a loving and understanding uncle and my great grandpa who died 8 years ago.

Eternal rest grant to them O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon them may they rest in peace. AMEN.

This is in memory of the most wonderful father-in-law in the entire world. He loved me like a father and showed me that I needed to start my journey towards Catholicism. He called me Irish. I never had a nickname before - at least not one I liked. He was a giant of a man but had a heart of gold & as big as the state of Texas. He loved my children as he did all of his grandchildren. He had such pride in his voice when we told him the youngest son was joining the military. He & Mom would send him care packages monthly while he was overseas - Dad would pick out the magazines he thought our solider would like (cars, racing, motorcycles, sports) and our son never threw any of them away. My beloved father-in-law - CWO (retired) Robert A. Ellis is walking with God, of this I am certain. I miss him every single day - as does his beloved wife, son, daughter, & the rest of his family.

I know you were there, Dad, when your son & I were confirmed at Easter Vigil Mass this year - I felt your presence there with us & knew in my heart you were watching us. We love & miss you but know you are healed. Watch over us & keep us all safe. Our solider is returning to the war next year - so keep him especially safe.

May Dad’s soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God the Father, rest in Peace. Amen.
