In Loving Memory

Almighty God, through the death of your Son on the cross, you have overcome death for us. Through his burial and resurrection from the dead you have made the grave a holy place and restored us to eternal life. We pray for those who died believing in Jesus and are buried with him in the hope of rising again. God of the living and the dead, may those who faithfully believed in you on earth praise you for ever in the joy of heaven. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Amen.

For my father, Edward, 1924-2003, that he may know how much I love him and what a shining light he continues to be in my life.

For his sister, Ella, who brought genuine love and aid to so many people.

Lord, please welcome them to your presence. Amen.

For your intentions Langdell.God bless

O God, bountiful in forgiving,
and lovingly desirous of man’s salvation,
we humbly beseech Thy mercy in behalf of our friends,
relations and benefactors,
who have passed from this world, that,
through the intercession of Blessed Mary ever Virgin
and all the Saints,
Thou wouldst permit them to come
to the full participation of everlasting happiness.
Through the same Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen

Jesus commend my dear friend’s mother in Your loving care.
I ask Your mercy for all who die, and for comfort and grace for their families.
Thank You, Jesus

Prayer for the Dead
God our Father,
Your power brings us to birth,
Your providence guides our lives,
and by Your command we return to dust.

Lord, those who die still live in Your presence,
their lives change but do not end.
I pray in hope for my family,
relatives and friends, especially for the mother of Trishie’s friend
and for all the dead known to You alone.

In company with Christ,
Who died and now lives,
may they rejoice in Your kingdom,
where all our tears are wiped away.
Unite us together again in one family,
to sing Your praise forever and ever.

Amen.

My baby son Stephen Stuart was born January 13th 1982 ,he died the same day.
Dear Lord I ask You to keep my beautiful baby son in heaven
alongside his baby brother baby Christopher.I ask You would grant them
both eternal life with You.I miss them every day I live.I love them so dearly.
I know You love them even more than I do.The opportunity this has given
me to help others who suffer the loss of a child I am very grateful for.I have
deep empathy and will always try to help others who suffer this tragedy.
I thankyou Lord for keeping my children safe.I thankyou for this opportunity
to serve You by helping those around me.Amen

We consecrate to Thee, O Jesus of Love, the trials, the joys, and all the happiness of our family life. We beseech Thee to pour out Thy blessings upon all its members, absent and present, living and dead. And when one after the other we have fallen asleep in Thy Blessed Bosom, O Jesus, may all of us, in Paradise, find again our family in Thy Sacred Heart. May the Divine Assistance remain always with us, and may the Souls of the Faithful Departed, through the Mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Loving God,

Today I lift up prayers and intentions for the repose of the soul of my father’s sister Virginia, age 94, who left this world Monday evening at 6 PM. Dear Lord, I pray that your son Jesus will meet dear Virginia and bring her to that special place in your house that has been prepared for her. She was the most loving, joyful, and happy person regardless of the issues of the day or the worries of tomorrow. Please take gentle care of dear Virginia and comfort her family and friends in this time of sorrow at her passing. Please also comfort my Dad who has now lost three sisters from this world.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, the Good Shepherd of your people.

Amen.

Lord, hear our prayers; in your mercy, bring us to your place of peace and light the souls of your servants [Stephen, Christopher & ALL), whom you have summoned from this world. Call [Stephen, Christopher & ALL] to be numbered in the fellowship of your saints. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen

Act of Love

I lost my dear husband on Christmas Eve to lung cancer. I pray that he is wrapped in Jesus’ loving arms, able to breathe with no pain. He was only 38 years old. There is a part of me that always knew that Joe didn’t belong here, that he was too pure for this world. My daughter’s heart is broken. She misses him so much. After only three weeks, it seems as if we have no more tears to cry. We feel lost, empty, and broken-hearted. We ask for prayers for him and for us as we some how try to find a way to go on without him…

Dear catholicinnc I am so sorry for your loss. The hardest thing in the world
to do is cope with the death of your life partner husband or wife. You are
being so brave right now and I cannot imagine the extreme pain both physically
and emotionally.During all of this I just want to remind you how much God really
loves you.He obviously had a special plan intended for your husband and needed
him in heaven.God will help you through this and it will take a great deal of time to
come to temrs with all of this.Your poor daughter is suffering dreadfully so you have
all that to deal with also.God will provide the love and support through others.I hope
you have access to a support group for families in your situation which will help kids
to understand and come to terms with the loss of a parent. Also for yourself too.I will keep
you in my prayers.Pray to God for guidance and renewed faith.

Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord
may perpetual light shine upon him
and may he rest in peace
Amen

Lord I ask you to look upon this young wife and mother and her daughter
please grant them the sure faith and knowledge that their husband/dad
is safe in heaven with You.Guide them throught his deeply painful greiving time
and please move people to help them.Amen

You and your family will all be in my rosary prayers today and over the next few days. I really do know what you mean. I love N.C…especially Wislon and Greenville where my family was from. God bless you all and I pray for the peace and love of Christ to be with you.

Sharing in Your Sorrow
I know this time of grief is so difficult for you, And thinking of you hurting makes my heart hurt too. We can never really know how another feels. I only hope you know that my concern for you is real. I wish that there was something more that I could do To take away the sorrow that is weighing down on you. Although I cannot change things, this I can extend – My loving thoughts, my heartfelt prayers for you.

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted”

A prayer for you to say

"Lord Jesus Christ, during Your
earthly life You showed compassion
to those who had lost a loved one.
Turn Your compassionate eyes on
me in my sorrow over the loss of my
life’s partner. Fill this emptiness until
we are together again in Your heavenly
kingdom as a reward for our earthly service.

Help me to cope with my loss by
relying on You even more than before.
Teach me to adapt to the new
conditions of my life and to continue
doing Your will. Enable me to avoid
withdrawing from life and make me
give myself to others more readily, so
that I may continue to live in Your
grace and to do the task that You
have laid out for me."

For my paternal grandfather, who passed away Thursday night. It was not expected…he slipped on some ice in the morning, but there was too much trauma to the head. We don’t know if he merely slipped or if something like a heart attack caused him to fall. Also for my family…especially for my dad, and also for my mother as she flies home from Guatemala. She was on a mission trip until the 20th, but they told her what happened yesterday, and she’s coming back home today. The funeral is on Monday…I’m going to be the reader. I’m leaving for the March for Life the following day… This is very hard…he’s the first close relative/friend I’ve ever lost.

Prayer for the Help of the Holy Spirit
O God, send forth your Holy Spirit into my heart that I may perceive, into my mind that I may remember, and into my soul that I may meditate. Inspire me to speak with piety, holiness, tenderness and mercy. Teach, guide and direct my thoughts and senses from beginning to end. May your grace ever help and correct me, and may I be strengthened now with wisdom from on high, for the sake of your infinite mercy. Amen.

I dedicate this post to my mother, Ruth, who passes away a little over a year ago. She was 93 yrs. old. It was just my brother and I for Christmas this year and our first Christmas without Mom. We miss her. She was quiet but such a strong presence.

For all whoare grieving at this time especially catholicinc & family.May God bless you & keep you safe.

Death is nothing at all.

Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room.
I am I, and you are you. Whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference in your tone, wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together.

Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was,
let it be spoken without effect, without the trace of shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was; there is unbroken continuity.
[There is absolute and unbroken continuity. What is this death but a negligible accident?]
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner.

All is well.
