Mum passed away 15th May (10 days ago) in a state far from me.
Please pray for my Mum (Angela)
I think you are right…he has actually been born into REAL life…abundant life. He will be in my prayers. Any chance you have heard of Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church in Baltimore? Thinking of visiting and hoping to be able to go.Thanks to all you lovely people who pray for our dear departed ones. I pray for my dear dad, Alfred John Giddings, who passed from this world into the heavenly kingdom of Our Lord Jesus Christ the morning of March 12, 2010. He was 81 years old and had suffered from Alzheimer’s. He still seems to be near us, and I often wonder how he’s doing. I bet he’s thrilled to be REALLY living now! And if possible, he’s on the bow of a ship or the edge of a sailboat, feeling the wind in his face and practically flying.
May God have mercy on his soul, and grant him eternal happiness.![]()
This thread is reminding me more and more of the “Jesus Shock” book by Peter Kreft. Basically the point of the book, is that if we truly believe in Jesus, then we should be experiencing the “shock” of the reality of the Truth of Jesus. I feel like I have only recently paid attention to increasing the level of “shock” I experience at the reality of Jesus. Thank you God, in the Name of Jesus Your Son. AMEN.I think you are right…he has actually been born into REAL life…abundant life. He will be in my prayers. Any chance you have heard of Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church in Baltimore? Amen! When I think of service men and women, I now also think of our police officers, as well as millitary personel. They too, risk their lives every day for our protection, especially the ones in high crime areas of our country. My prayers always for you and your loved ones. Please remember our servicepeople who have died in the service of our country. Without them, our right to pray would not exist. God bless you all.

On that note, I would like to ask prayers for my old friend, officer Clayton Hoover, who died back in the 80s, and also for two other officers who died in that horrific gun battle - showdown that fateful day. He was truly one of the best officers and men I have ever met.
May God rest Clay, and all the officers who have given all for us!
Without all our forces at home, we would have no order at all!
Blessed are the peacemakers…

PRAYER FOR THE DEPARTED SOULFor my Father, Luis, he passed away suddenly 2 years ago from Congestive heart failure and I am not sure of whether he finally found peace with the Lord. Please pray for him.
Eternal rest grant unto him O, Lord.
And let the perpetual light shine upon him…
May his soul (Luis) and the souls of all the faithfully departed,
through the Mercy of God, rest in peace,
Amen![]()
:grouphug:Dear Lord we pray for this Grandmother Mother and Father.First, if I may, I would like to add my prayers for those departed that they may join God in Heaven.
I do not wish to go into much detail at this point, so I feel that it would be easiest for me to just post the info at once.
My Grandmother, who I lost but a short 3 months ago.
My dearest’s mother, lost 5 years ago.
Even my biological father, lost some 2+ decades ago. (Things were not the best then, and I have my doubts and uncertainties about his spiritual path)
I am grateful for this thread. I think it is a wonderful idea and helps keep the memories of our dear departed even closer to our hearts.

God bless you and your whole family. You will all be in my prayers today and peace be with you. JuliaYesterday, my family interred my grandfather who passed away on June 1. He was my hero and the only grandfather I had known. After my grandmother passed away on July 4, 2001, he moved in with my family and we took care of him until I left for college. He had been living in a small residential facility for the past two years. A few weeks ago, he announced that he was ready to go home, to be with God and my Nana. He asked her everyday to come get him, and on June 1, the beginning of the month that would have been their 50th wedding anniversary, the Lord granted his request and sent my grandmother to call him home.
Fittingly, my grandfather was interred in the mosoleum with military honors, having been injured in World War II. It was one of the most profoundly wonderful, yet painstakingly difficult ceremonies to attend. I will miss him dearly, but look forward to seeing him again in the Kingdom of Heaven.
God grant him entrance into your kingdom for a life in service to his country and his family. Grant comfort to my family and especially my mother, and I humbly pray that you unite us all with our loved ones when our earthly time comes to pass. Thank you for the service of our nation’s military men and women. Guide them, protect them, and bring them home. Bless our veterans who have preserved this great nation which you have given us. Through the sacrifice of Your Son, bestow a special blessing on those who have given their lives for You, their families, and their country. Rest in peace, Grandpa. Amen.
Amen! What a beautiful tribute you have written. As a grateful American I appreciate the sacrifices your grandfather made for this country. I pray that your grandmother and grandfather are now in the loving embrace of Jesus for eternity. I ask you Jesus comfort this family in their time of grief.
