One cannot “begin dating” someone who one has never met in real life.
 
yeah, a lot of well-intended naiveté in that article. Good grief, Charlie Brown.
 
Just a really sad situation, all around.

It’s pretty sad when people want to deceive others, no matter what the reason is for them to want to do that. 😦
 
It is hard to imagine why someone would create such an elaborate lie like that if it was not for financial or sexual gain. And, you really have to wonder about the lady’s husband and how he feels, if he ever found out. It seems like, as the article said, she is a very sad person. Perhaps her life did not turn out as she had hoped and does not get enough love at home, so, she created a new, younger persona. Such folks need our prayers.
 
I guess I always assume that internet people aren’t really “real” until you’ve met them in person. Also, I didn’t know “Catholic Twitter” was a think.
 
I was also thinking of this too.

Perhaps the guy was using the word “dating” to refer to ‘getting to know her’, not as someone as his girlfriend. As how can she be his girlfriend when they haven’t met face to face.

I’m still confused when posters say something like “we’ve known each other for 20 years; we’ve been together for 10 years, and got married last year.” I’m never sure whether the “been together” means ‘going steady,’ ‘dating,’ or ‘cohabiting.’
 
Weird story.

I don’t assume internet people are who they say they are. With the advent of artificial intelligence, they might not even be people! That said, it’s weird that someone would construct an artificial identity and creepier still to do it with stolen photos of someone else.

The photos should have stirred doubts earlier because internet people are suppose to look something like this: 🙂 😃 😉
