The Father is Greater than I?

I don’t think it’s implied at all.
Here’s the quote:
Mark 13:32
“However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows.”

Are you Jehovah’s Witness?

Jesus knew just like the Father …
How do you explain:
Mark 13:32
“However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows.”
It specifically and clearly states that Only the Father knows day or hour when these things will happen.
If I say only A knows, does it not mean that
B does not know.
C does not know
D does not know, etc.?

Like I said, "Jesus knew just like the Father …He just wasn’t telling!

Not in the way that the statement is constructed in the Greek.

There, it only means that what is listed is excluded, and what is IDed as the “except” – that is, “the Father” – is included. You made an appeal to the original Greek. One would expect, then, that you’re familiar with the idiomatic phrase εἰ μὴ and in a listοὐδεὶς. Perhaps you’re not, and this is what is driving your misunderstanding. 🤷

Luke 2:52
52 And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.

How can God grow in wisdom and stature or in favor with Himself?

Clearly, many passages of scripture are referring to Jesus in His humanity.

Wouldn’t it be great if we fully understood the Trinity? But how can we with our finite minds understand God who is infinite?

Unfortunately, many people reach the point of mystery and are dissatisfied, but rather than simply acknowledging that mystery, they satisfy their own reasoning by reducing or simplifying their version of God.

It doesn’t work that way.
You wrote, “Unfortunately, many people reach the point of mystery and are dissatisfied, but rather than simply acknowledging that mystery, they satisfy their own reasoning by reducing or simplifying their version of God.”

Aren’t these people called theologians and not just “modern day” theologians?

Some are.

Jesus is God but the Father is greater than Him because Jesus was hindered by His humanity. The Father is pure Spirit. When Jesus ascended into heaven, He was again equal to the Father.
That is a gnostic heresy that the spirit is greater than the flesh.

How do we reconcile this passage along with other passages such as Matthew 24:36-“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone,” with the theology of the Trinity? Moreso, how do we answer objections to his equality to the Father (in divinity) within the LDS community and his actual divinity to groups just as the JWs based on these verses and others like it that appear to seperate the two person’s authority quite drastically.
LDS like to argue the edges. If Jesus wasn’t God, why did the Sanhedrin condemn him? CS Lewis had it right, liar, lunatic or Lord. Ananias knew EXACTLY what Jesus said. That is the focal point and the start of the discussion with them.

Liar - Why do you believe what he said later?
Lunatic - Oh, yeah. Let’s debate the sayings of a lunatic. That is a good time waster.
Lord - Maybe you don’t understand the passage.

So what do we know about Jesus? He came to do the will of the Father. He took on a servant role. Who is greater, the servant or the master? “Not my will but yours be done”

These things we know:
There is only one God.
God has three DISTINCT persons.
Father is fully God and yet separate from Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
Son is fully God and yet separate from the Father and the Holy Spirit.
Spirit is fully God and yet separate from the Father and Jesus
Yet only one God and this is NOT a contradiction.

How do we know that? Jesus said.

The Father testifies about the Son and Spirit.
Jesus testifies about the Father and Spirit
The Spirit testifies to all mankind the Father and Jesus.

The Father has given all things to the Son and Spirit.
The Son gives all things to the Father and Spirit.
The Spirit gives all things to the Father and Son.

And one day we get to participate with them in this 🙂

God is not the Borg.

There is a new argument to be added from modern atheism: Legend. Jesus never existed.

Legend.
Lunatic.
Liar.
Lord.

Yeah, there isn’t any evidence to prove that Darwin existed either. Let’s go with that theory. 😛

Maybe ignorance is bliss. Or better yet, maybe we can rewrite History because we don’t want to deal with Him.

Another, more human way to look at this is not to say the Father knows exactly.

“When are we leaving?” - Child 1
“I don’t know, only Dad knows” - Child 2

Reality: Dad hasn’t decided yet, but the decision is all mine. It is when I feel that the fullness of time has come, the preparations are properly made, and I feel like it.

Actually, the legend argument simply questions the validity of stories about Jesus. For some that means Jesus didn’t exist, but for others they believe Jesus was a real person and the stories are either exaggerations or wholely untrue.

I think we can safely rule out Legend, Lunatic, or Liar. However, there are questions of interpretation which do not make it a black and white issue otherwise.

Well, that’s encouraging. It sounds like you may agree that Jesus is Lord. However, after reviewing many of your posts, you’re obviously no fan of the Catholic Church.

Where can I find one of the posts in which you state your religion? (Second Request)

Thanks.
