It’s embarrassing to admit this, but I was wrong about my Vocation. I had it all backwards and desiring a quality of life that would require me to change & give up who God made me to be, which doesn’t sound like something God intended fruition to prosper. At the surface level, I thought that God expected me to discern and eventually pursue religious life by sacrificing what I value most to prove my love for God. But there has always been an odd reason and nudge why God has been revealing to me hopeful ways to someday live a virtuously Catholic marriage between God+husband+wife+children traditionally and valuing family time selflessly with ripe quality in more ways than one. I got so caught up in the present moment planning my future religious life without stopping to accept the present moment where God simply has me. Wow, how wrong I had it & wow, how right God still has it & that He hasn’t ignored this simple yet profound prayer… the only problem is that I am terrified with trusting God with this most important prayer to me because I fear for the unknown, how it will surprisingly happen when I’m not paying attention (I guess I feel the need to know how- despite that that really doesn’t matter anymore), & what my future husband will be like (to ensure we are right for each other- to ensure God can take care of this prayer that I hold so dear to my heart). I trust God in many other aspects of my life, but this one I’ve tried protecting from toxic people who have previously tried to steal my innocence for the pure joy in experiencing the simple moments with the man I truly love someday with God at the center. It’s no wonder why most of my life, I did whatever it took to from being a good cook/baker to stepping outside of myself to be seen as I truly am & dedicating time to serve others selflessly, to ensure that I have what it takes to be wanted to at least one authentic (Catholic) man who is genuine in his words & actions. Please pray for me & anyone else experiencing something similar- that we don’t give up on the married life just because we haven’t experienced it yet & to practice living a virtuous life centered on God at the center in trusting Him within the uncertainty of wherever life goes. He knows & loves each one of us more than we truly know & loves ourselves. May we all learn in unique ways to stick to our values in God, rather than rely on outside sources- for it is then that God may reveal something within us that we perhaps hadn’t noticed before.~

Dear Jesus, Thank you for helping KiwiBliss with guidance about her life and vocation. Please continue to guide her and help her make the right choices to do just what You will for her in life. Please help KiwiBliss and myself and all of us to trust you more and not be afraid to put matters into your hands when we have done our best but aren’t sure which way to go. Jesus, King of Mercy, I trust in you. In Your name I pray. Amen.

Holy Mary and St. Joseph, Please pray for this intention.
Sts. Louis and Zelie Martin, and St. Therese of Lisieux, Please pray for this intention.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petition (stated above), but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

Praying for all those discerning a vocation. May God guide them in their decision and grant them patience when necessary.

OP, your post was so eloquent. I pray God also guides you as you seem to lean towards marriage as your calling!~

God bless,

Mary…

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Thank you all for the prayers. May God continue to bless you all abundantly.~

Praying to the Holy Spirit to give you guidance, direction, strength, fortitude & wisdom in your time of need.

Glorious St. Benedict, sublime model of virtue, pure vessel of God’s grace! Behold me humbly kneeling at your feet. I implore you in your loving kindness to pray for me before the throne Of God. To you I have recourse in the dangers that daily surround me. Shield me against my selfishness and my indifference to God and to my neighbor. Inspire me to imitate you in all things. May your blessing be with me always, so that I may see and serve Christ in others and work for His kingdom.

Graciously obtain for me from God those favors and graces which I need so much in the trials, miseries and afflictions of life. Your heart was always full of love, compassion and mercy toward those who were afflicted or troubled in any way. You never dismissed without consolation and assistance anyone who had recourse to you. I therefore invoke your powerful intercession, confident in the hope that you will hear my prayer and obtain for me the special grace and favor I earnestly implore.

Help me, great St. Benedict, to live and die as a faithful child of God, to run in the sweetness of His loving will and to attain the eternal happiness of heaven. Amen.

Despite what I’ve mentioned, I experience spiritual warfare between religious life and married life daily. This means that literally when I confess that I strongly desire married life one day & religious life passion another day, something happens the next day that contradicts that desire toward the other and I often end up baffled with which one to be my guide within discernment. Technically I’ve passed that desire for married life awhile back because logically it would be better for my soul to live in community with a religious order. Back & forth does this discernment journey happen for me.

To put it simply, I need a spiritual director to assist in organizing & coming to realizations with my spiritual journey, whether I’m called to married life or religious life. Sorry for the confusion, even I don’t understand what’s going on. Thanks for reading this complex message.

Can anyone relate?

**Mary, I love you.
Mary, make me live in God,
with God,
and for God.
Draw me after you, holy mother.
O Mary, may your children persevere in loving you.
Mary, Mother of God and mother of mercy,
pray for me and for the departed.
Mary, holy Mother of God,
be our helper.
In every difficulty and distress,
come to our aid, O Mary.
O Queen of Heaven,
lead us to eternal life with God.
Mother of God,
remember me,
and help me always to remember you.
O Mary, conceived without sin,
pray for us who have recourse to you.
Pray for us,
O holy Mother of God,
that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray to Jesus for me.
Amen.

Today, I had a scheduled meeting with a particular spiritual director. God finally fulfilled my spiritual need for the right spiritual director and I am grateful. That’s a step in the right direction, wherever the Lord takes this simple soul.
