I listen to Family Radio every night on shortwave (6985 KHz)- not because I enjoy it (though I must say it is very entertaining), but because itā€™s the only station that isnā€™t offshore transmitting in Spanish! I enjoy the music they play late at night but during the open forum is where I get the biggest kick.

One time a man called in and asked Camping to read two verses from the Bible and explain what they mean. Camping did so and explained his asinine interpretation. The caller said to him, ā€œWell sir most Christian groups that have read the Bible believe it to meanā€¦(whatever the common belief was)ā€. Camping blew up saying that the caller should read the Bible again because he obviously hasnā€™t read it enough. Camping went on to say ā€œNo one has read the Bible as thoroughly as I have!ā€ Then like usual, he disconnected them.

Another time a woman called and asked Camping if he believed that Faith is what allowed a person to go to heaven. He responded agreeing. She took it a step further and said, ā€œWell wouldnā€™t it be fair to say that Faith is a Work?ā€ He said ā€œOf course not! I have never hear of that in my entire life!ā€ The caller said that her church and other churches she is aware of believe what she presented to him. He responded by disconnecting her and stated, ā€œAny church that believes that faith is a work, must be some sort of new cult!ā€

I would say that most of the people that call in are people saying that he is wrong and that they will call the station on the 22nd just to say hi. I canā€™t wait to see what he has to say the 22nd. Until then- šŸ‘‹

I scheduled an appointment with a local notary to walk with me this coming Friday to get some signatures on some property of the people that actually believe this. Considering they will not be needing it ha!

I am not too big on baseball, but I agree Giants-Niners-Sharks-Warriors, it is all here. We have tickets for Fridayā€™s Sharks game. :okpeople:

Ha, ha. I remember those type of calls from when I was a teen. That man has been around for a long time.
 
MAY 21st so predctable. Hundreds of years of this, why would stop?
 
This whole thing got me thinkingā€¦

Iā€™m not a morning person at all although I obviously get up for prayers, but perhaps I should wait until I see God face to face, as it were, to let Him know my prayers? If I can do this, I would like to be able to sleep for an extra hour.:yawn:

Also, do you think I can stop cleaning now? If the Final Judgement comes, Iā€™m pretty sure no one will notice if the windows are dirty or I need to weed the garden.šŸ˜ƒ

The whole thing is just so funny. The end isnā€™t coming. The end is never coming, not in the sense we are discussing it.

According to the Bible, the end times were supposed to come during the lives of the apostles. It didnā€™t. (Luke 9:27, Matthew 16:28, Matthew 24:34, etc.)

I donā€™t see how you can believe in this end times thing and use the Bible as your basis for it, when the time in question has already passed. Every generation always believes this for a couple of reasons: they want to believe they are more special than previous generations or they say, ā€œwell, thereā€™s floods and wars and so on!ā€, as if there arenā€™t floods, earthquakes, tornadoes and wars during every generation.

Itā€™s time to move on - take what you can from the story. People treat the Bible very disrespectfully when they use it as a puppet in this way. I think itā€™s irritating.

I went to confession this past weekend and am doing my best to be free from sin for as long as I can. If I only need to hold out until Saturday, wellā€¦ šŸ˜‰ šŸ˜ƒ

Well, I consider myself a ā€œtrue believerā€ but I havenā€™t got a clue. There is no end to the baloney out there. Iā€™m still upset that the day wasnā€™t prior to April 15th.

I purchased that book. He went on for a few hundred pages explaining how he could not be wrong. Of course, more than a dozen years have pasted since that date that he couldnā€™t have been wrong about šŸ˜‰

Yeah, that might not to a bad idea. While the world may not end, none of us knows when our personal end my come and itā€™s always good to live every day as if it was your last.

You bet there are folks outside the UK that watch Dr. Who. Never miss an episode. What I really like about UK television is that all the actors look like real people and not fashion models cut from the same cloth.
 
I hope it doesnā€™t happen till after the Preakness. Still hoping to see another triple crown winner in my lifetime. šŸ‘
