O.K. I normally enjoy listening to archived BBC Radio 4 programs online. This one entitled “The First Christian Document” seemed to be promising so I listened. It’s about the Didache. I was so disappointed and frustrated. Not once do they say the word “Catholic” in discussing early Christianity. They portray the consecration of the Eucharist in early Christianity as the end prayer at a gathering of friends after dinner. And they perpetuate the idea that Jesus had a brother James as fact.
If anyone is familiar with the Didache and would like to listen to this program, you can go here:
bbc.co.uk/radio4/progs/listenagain.shtml
Scan down to the “F” section and click on “The First Christian Document”. I’d be curious to hear how other Catholics respond to this program.
