Does anyone know when the first Mass was celebrated after the Ascension? Who was the first priest/apostle to change bread and wine into the body and blood of Christ? And who received?

Fr. Vincent Serpa, O.P. answered a question:

“Did the first Mass take place on the road to Emmaus?”
at forums.catholic-questions.org/showthread.php?t=59447

My guess is that the probabilities are that at the very first gathering of the Apostles, under the presiding of St Peter, Christ’s instructions to “Do this” (or “these things”) in commemoration of Me" were done - very simply, but just as effectively as has been done throughout the ages in all of the various liturgies approved by the legitimate Church authorities.

Thank you Sean!

That was informative. I tried to search the forums but I was overwhelmed with info. Thanks again.
