Please don’t try to answer me if your not Muslim. I want to hear from a Muslim perspective
I didn’t originally reply to anything saying you wanted a Muslim perspective. That said, why is it an individual Muslim’s part to solve the amoral actions of another and more importantly how do you know they don’t? Is a Christian put on the spot to solve or speak out about such acts based solely on their religious affiliation? There are plenty of violent acts, even mass murder, done by Christians or at least nominal ones. Muslims are a much more diverse group than this question makes them out to be, many are American born and even serve with pride in the American army. Please don’t try to answer me if your not Muslim. Where do we suppose that originated from? The vast majority of people don’t just wake up and instantly tell themselves they hate Islam. That double standard employed is a great deal of it.Here the issue hatred of Islam (and some other groups) has been used recently to gain political power.
No, they’re waking up to the fact that they are slowly losing their cultural majority and associated power. The current political climate is based almost solely on this. The things that have been said in the open would have tanked a political career not too long ago. Now, not only is it ignored, it gives more credence to those who are willing to say or do it. The sad thing is those who are the true believers are letting themselves be fleeced by those who seek wealth, profits, or political power and unfortunately the rest of us are being pulled down with it.Where do we suppose that originated from? In any case, it’s okay for people to hate a religion in a free society. What’s not okay is to attack and mistreat people following a religion. That’s something plenty of people in media and politics apply to Christianity except for Islam. Again, I refer to the treatment of Richard Dawkins on this point.
That’s no doubt part of it. That’s been the case for quite a while. But the elites see Islam as an amazing salt to rub into their wounds, wounds the elites also inflicted.they’re waking up to the fact that they are slowly losing their cultural majority and associated power.
America is most certainly NOT a Christian nation. A country that goes around creating wars in other countries. A country that is the largest producer of porn in the world. A country where only 25% of its population attends church weekly. A country where many ignore the plight of others. A country where abortion on demand is widely supported. A country where same-sex ‘marriage’ is widely supported. A country where people worship sports. A country where people worship politicians. A country where deliberate drunkenness is common. Doesn’t sound like a Christian country by any means.America is a CHRISTIAN nation
It’s the same in the US, while we are definitely more religious than the UK, there are more “Christians” that come out of the woodwork when they feel their culture threatened. My spouse is a Lutheran Pastor, we see it first hand. As my spouse likes to say sometimes, some churches are more of a Jesus flavored social club than a church. We even have a large group of conservative Christians who gladly embrace our President who at best is a Prosperity Gospel Christian; but I’m quite sure this is an act. He says the right words therefore our “Christian Heritage” is preserved. It’s interesting in the UK. Generally we don’t feel like a Christian country, most are happily secular but if people feel threatened by Islam all of a sudden many start talking about the UKs Christian values
Thirty-two-year-old Ahmad married his first wife, Lina, when she was thirteen. He married his third, Betool, when she was fourteen. That would have been statutory rape not so long ago, but instead Ahmad gets to live with both wives and his six children in a two-story house in Schleswig-Holstein paid for, like everything else in the illiterate unskilled unemployed refugee’s life, by German taxpayers.
Conventional wisdom… Except it flies in the face of the facts. As generations pass, the muslim communities become more diluted and properly integrated into standard society,
Islam is much higher on the totem pole of victimization. The gay “rights” movement is already seceding ground in Europe to conservative Islam. It’s now “racist” to have a gay pride parade in a Muslim neighborhood. In the UK a major school district dialed down its GLBTQ issue propaganda machine because Muslims complained.I can’t imagine people respecting Muslims’ right to disagree with gay marriage etc for long?
The Supreme Court ruled on gay marriage, it’s a decided thing, that’s why noise about it is dying down. Many elements of full Sharia Law are illegal by US law and there is no legal way to enforce it. Hand cutting, eye gouging, and stoning are in Sharia Law, scary, but here’s the inconvenient truth; they’re in the Bible too. So should I fear you implementing Biblical Law in this country? The gay marriage movement is—or was, rather—the flavor of the month. It isn’t anymore. Should sharia law become cool in the West
I think you better check the demographic situation your side is celebrating.that’s why noise about it is dying down.
If you have a problem with these practices, I suggest talking to the Jews. Or the countries that currently practice these things which are Muslim majority.Hand cutting, eye gouging, and stoning are in Sharia Law, scary, but here’s the inconvenient truth; they’re in the Bible too.
Same complaints, a county with Christian roots, afraid of losing their roots and future to IslamWe’re talking about Europe, not the USA.
I’m sure you’d be complaining about that too.Besides, all it would take would be +1 Muslim judge
You’re dodging my point, these sort of punishments are present in Jewish, Christian, and Muslim law. And yes, Biblical punishments (or similar) have been implemented at certain points; the Inquisition comes to mind.If you have a problem with these practices, I suggest talking to the Jews. Or the countries that currently practice these things which are Muslim majority.
