Mine too but you can get many things on dvd and that is where this generation has the best. They get a great deal of the past but at a cost.

The only problem is that it is difficult to watch older shows so like I said, it is fun to see some of this material that no one has seen done again in a newer format

They could reference what show it came from they wanted to.

Do you have to pay for METV and is it available on roku?

I get METV on dishnet if that helps.
 
With the “golden age” shows, you could watch them with your kids. Nowadays, most prime time shows are too raunchy for kids, or agenda-driven. Nickelodeon and Disney serve up sitcoms aimed at kids, but they’re so poorly written that grownups don’t want to watch. So now you have a generation of families where the kids and parents aren’t even watching the same shows together.

And Nick and Disney are getting a lot more agenda driven than they used to be. Parents, you really gotta know what your kids are watching!

One favorite old time show of mine was Red Skelton. “These two seagulls, Gertrude and Heathcliff!” And he hooks his thumbs under his armpits to form “wings” and crosses his eyes and makes like seagull. Hilarious!😃

I Loved Red Skelton, whether he was doing Gertrude and Heathcliffe; Junior the Mean Widdle Kid* (I dood it.)*; Clem Kaddiddlehopper; Cauliflower McPugg; Freddie the Freeloader or any of his other well defined characters.

In many if not most areas, MeTv is a broadcast channel which can be picked up with an antenna, although sometimes the reception is less than optimal. But I’ve noticed that when the broadcast signal is weak, the cable signal is equally weak.
 
Did Wally Cox appear on other shows? I am thinking maybe Patty Duke, or the Many Loves of Dobie Gillis?

Wally Cox appeared on lots of shows. I even think he did a Twilight Zone once. (I know Jonathan Winters did one.)
