For the Easter Season I have noticed that the Gospel Acclamation for the Sunday Mass, the three Alleluias sung are the same exact Alleluias sing in O Sons and Daughters. Have you noticed this?
My diocese’s cathedral has been using that Alleluia for the Sunday Masses of the Easter season. I know that Respond & Acclaim has its own variation of that Alleluia. In fact, I think a composition of it was used for the acclamation for this Sunday.
Well at the abbey, as Mass is in Gregorian chant, the Gradual replaces the responsorial psalm. And since it’s eastertide, the Gradual is itself replaced by an alleluia, so there are two alleluias (with verse) at Sunday Mass.
