It’s always good to read God’s word. What made you choose Matthew? Are you involved in a Bible study or just reading on your own? Do you have any background in understanding Matthew’s Gospel–it’s meaning, it’s context, and that sort of thing? Is there any way we can be of help to you as you read? 🙂

there’s alot i need to understand, but my memory is bad.i can’t remember.i pray that it get’s better.im reading it to learn more about jesus.someone told me that’s where to start, but im not in bible study.just rehab.i will talk about rehab, but notb what’s wrong with me.🙂

In that case, just read it for devotional purposes–to draw you closer to Jesus. You should be fine just doing that. God bless you–I hope and pray you do well in rehad.

Becky,

Congratulations on reading the first fourteen chapters of Matthew. I will join Della in wishing you well.

thankyou.i actually like reading the bible when no one’s home, because when someone’s home, guess what that means, noise.🙂

Becky,

After you read Matthew, you may want to check out this Bible Study of Matthew by Scott Hahn. It will help explain a lot of that book as well as why Matthew wrote it and to whom did he write it.

Good Luck!

P.S. I’m going through rehab right now (physical rehab - two broken legs), and I’ve got a ton of reading time on my hands. I hope you enjoy it (reading, that is) as much as I do.
