It seems he’s a military leader that’s at the least, descended from a monarch. I don’t think he’ll be an actual monarch (since if I read the private revalations correct, he’s essentially the 2nd to last world leader, so no heirs). Besides, it might be rather hard to convince the entire world that he’s their king.

From what I’ve read, it sounds like the 10 kingdoms (regions) are established here. I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out that he’s a military general who divides the world up into 10 regions for reconstruction. (10 regions seem almost too easy to pick out if you look at it along cultural lines - Europe, Middle East, Africa, South Asia, SE Asia, North Asia (Russia), East Asia, Oceania, and divide the Americas up). Anyway, I can see him governing for 40-50 years if the people see him as a war hero. I’ve often thought about what the aftermath would be like - no electricity, clean water, irragation, etc. for atleast a few years until things slowly come back online - probably starvation as people are forced to learn how to farm, and store for the winter, unless they go to a warm climate like Florida.

Oh my–where did he get those? This is exactly the interpretation to Nostradamus’ quatraines about World War III. It’s interesting how his prediction ties up with those in Fatima.

With the assistance of God and of the Pope, he will cooperate in the reformation of abuses; he will assume the direction of temporal governments; he will assign a decent pension to the Pope and aslo the Bishops and clergy. And they will live in peace which shalllast till the End of Time.” (Catholic Prophecy, p. 34)
 
I recently read a book, not yet published, which is about the great monarch. It is tentatively entitled ‘Songs and Prophecies of the Great Monarch.’

Concerning his identity, I believe that the great monarch has been born and is in the world today. But his identity is not certain, since the various prophecies about him having conflicting descriptions of his origins.

There is a long thread about this in another discussion group, but I’m not sure if it is appropriate to cite it here.

St. John Vianney, The Cure’ of Ars (19th Century)

"The enemy (the Prussians) will allow the burning of Paris, and they will rejoice at it, but they shall be beaten; they shall be driven entirely from France. Our enemies shall return, and will destroy everything in their march. They shall arrive at Poitiers without meeting any serious resistance, but there they shall be crushed by the defenders of the West, who shall pursue them. From other directions their provisions shall be cut off, and they shall suffer very serious losses. They will attempt to retire towards their country, but very few of them shall ever reach it.

“*The Communists of Paris, after their defeat, shall spread themselves through all France, *and will be greatly multiplied. They shall seize arms; they shall oppress the people of order. Two Angels were serving Him and two more were following…His chasuble was a full and heavy mantle in which red and white could be seen in transparency, and gleaming with jewels…Although there was no altar bell, the cruets were there. The wine was as red as blood, and there was also some water. ***The Mass was short. The Gospel of St. John was not read at the end. ***When the Mass had ended, Mary came up to Henry (the Emperor), and she extended her right hand towards him, saying that it was in recognition of his purity. This is reference to a mass we’ve had since 1967, in the wake of Vatican II!

I’m not a big fan on pegging dates, but isn’t 2038 when an asteroid is supposed to come within close proximity with - if not hitting - the Earth, among other things?

You are right. In 2038 peices of the comet Tempel I will fall to the earth and burn up 1/3 of the land mass and cause mass flooding on the earth. This event is the first two trumpets of the seventh seal of the Book of Revelation:

{8:7} And the first Angel sounded the trumpet. And there came hail and fire, mixed with blood; and it was cast down upon the earth. And a third part of the earth was burned, and a third part of the trees was entirely burned up, and all the green plants were burned.
{8:8} And the second Angel sounded the trumpet. And something like a great mountain, burning with fire, was cast down into the sea. And a third part of the sea became like blood.
{8:9} And a third part of the creatures that were living in the sea died. And a third part of the ships were destroyed.

The sixth seal of Revelation is the Great Monarch’s nuclear war which I describe in my book:

Also before the six trumpets come to pass God will command his angels to seal his children as described in Revelation chapter 7. This will be a special grace for the people of that time:

Werdin d’Orante lived and recorded this prophecy in the 13th Century.

The Great Monarch and the Great Pope will precede the Antichrist.
The nations will be in wars for four years and a great part of the world will be destroyed. All the sects will vanish. The capital of the world will fall. The Pope will go over the sea carrying the sign of redemption on his forehead, and after the victory of the Pope and the Great Monarch peace will reign on earth.
The Pope will cross the sea in a year when the Feast of St. George (April 23rd) falls on Good Friday, and St. Mark’s feast (April 25th) comes on Easter Sunday, and the Feast of St. Anthony falls on Pentecost, and the Feast of St. John the Baptist falls on Corpus Christi.
The Great Monarch will come to restore peace and the Pope will share in his victory. (4)
The nations in war for four years refer to WWIV. The capital of the world is Rome, which will fall back into the hands of the alliance led by the Great Monarch. After the war the Pope will travel across the sea, perhaps the Atlantic Ocean, back to Rome from the U.S. Notice he bears the sign of redemption on his forehead. This sign of redemption refers to the Seal of the Living God mentioned in Revelation 7:2-4. The Redemption was accomplished by Christ on the Cross; therefore I conclude that the Seal will be a visible sign of the cross upon the foreheads of the servants of God. Perhaps it will be a miraculous sign that cannot be explained by science. The merging of the Feast days mentioned in this prophecy next occurs in the year 2038.

It is also good to remember that after these terrible events their will be a time of great peace and holiness unprecedented in history

Actually, I thought it was another asteroid that NASA recently (99942 Apophis (2004 MN4)) that was supposed to hit near 2038, not Tempel 1. I also wouldn’t use catholicplanet as a good reference, especially when the webmaster pegs an “exact” date for the 2nd Coming - and changes his “timeline” over time. (try looking on archive.org with this link – catholicplanet.com/future/map.htm ). It’ll change. It goes from Pope JPII dying as a matyr in Iraq to Pope BXVI will die in 2009. It also claimed, in the 2001 version, that Isreal would’ve rebuilt the “3rd Temple” by now. They didn’t, and he changed that one.

BTW, Comet Tempel isn’t even that big - the size of a football staduim. That’s maybe 2-3 times larger than the Tunguska explosion asteroid. Sure, it might take out a very, very, very small country, but certainly not the entire world. Nice try, wrong comet.

If you want something that can cause world wide darkness (and ashfall), and tsunamis, try several collasping volcanos and maybe a caldera or two.

Your statement about Comet Tempel 1 is factually false. When NASA impacted that comet, the size of the hole left in the comet was about the size of a football stadium.

I do not remember Our Lady of Fatima saying anything about anything beginning on April Fool’s Day. But maybe.

I definetely agree with you he will be a descendant of the Franks. The Franks were a loosely federated group of Germanic tribes who began to conquer areas of modern day France, Germany, Switzerland, Holland, and some other areas around the 5th century. From this race descended: Pippin, Charlemaigne, Robert the Strong, Hugh Capet, St Louis IX, all the Bourbon rulers. Even the Hapsburgs were descended from the Franks.

I am working on an article where I think I have discovered exactly who he is. It is complex and will take a while. I will probably be wrong, but it will be interesting when I am done.

In my controversial chronology of future events, the three days of darkness occurs on March 29, 30, 31 of 2040 A.D. So the time of worldwide peace begins on April 1, 2040. But I was unaware of that article from unitypublishing about April 1. It happends that April 1 that year is Easter Sunday, and appropriately a day for a new beginning for the world (but the peace will be shortlived).
