Thank you for concern, more than advertising a film, I saw it as sharing a possible evangelizing tool for our children (and for many adults), in these days when almost everything in the media evangelizes them in the opposite direction. I thought that the Childrenā€™s testimonies video speaks very powerfully. I saw another video in which many priests who attended the screening praise it very highly.

The graphics looks a littleā€¦ outdated.

Donā€™t get me wrong- Iā€™m sure it has a powerful message and Iā€™m also sure that the graphics arenā€™t what really matters.

However, keep in mind that todayā€™s youth is used to truly well done movies in both cinematics (real life action) and in CG (computer generated). I find that a lot of youth will scoff and belittle or even make fun of movies, even if theyā€™re religious, on the basis of how ā€œcheesyā€ a movie looks.

Case in point- Movies with ā€œbadā€ graphics tend not to sit well with youth, and additionally, with most other demographics as well.

Itā€™s a shame, but itā€™s reality.

You are right. No film in itself has the power to move hearts to conversion. That is where you have to rely on *Godā€™s grace *to be there to work in their hearts and to make up for the poor graphics. I have discovered that many young people are secretly ā€œhungryā€ for spiritual answers, even if they do not admit it to their friends.

Working with Catholic youth in the classroom, I have witnessed how even animated stories, when introduced properly, have moved studentsā€™ hearts. When the message sounds truthful, they will often overlook the graphics. Sometimes many of them are searching for content more than for entertainment. šŸ™‚

Iā€™m not too sure if the webmasters or designers know this or not but everytime I go to the original website for this movie it turns out as an error page.

They are now announcing US release date 2013 here
The website announces:** ā€œEl Gran Milagroā€ Now on DVD from Latin America, Spanish Audio Only!!!** I know that the film was made in cooperation between American producers and a Mexican film company and that** the film was made in both languages**. Now we only need the English version release.šŸ¤·

I was blessed with the opportunity to watch it while visiting Latin America this summer. What surprised me the most was how rapidly the showings of this film were multiplying in Catholic churches, prayer communities and First Communion classes. Upon my return I purchased a copy of the Spanish version (El Gran Milagro) on Ebay and even with someone translating it, everyone in my English speaking prayer community who has seen it has loved it to th point of tears.

In my humble opinionā€¦ in a major way! This is why its release is encountering so much obstruction (you know how spiritual warfare works.) This is why it needs our prayers and our support.

I watched it today. It was a lot shorter than I thought it would be.
I am not into animated films at all, and was a little apprehensive about this one due to it being animated.
The animation took nothing away from this film. I even cried at one point.
I really like this, it would be great for most children over say 7ish I think.
It made some great points on what Mass is all about and where Jesus is today. (whereā€™s heā€™s always been!) And how evil spirits try to get at us.
I think everyone should watch it, itā€™s a good movie about being Catholic and what that means.
Two thumbs up. šŸ™‚
