How long do you use the greeting Christ is Born! Do you stop at Theophany and then change to Christ is Baptized? I ask because I am emailing a priest today. Thank you.

Roman Catholics celebrate Ephiphany today, so technically, it is still Christmas Season. It ends on the baptism of Jesus, next Sunday.

There is a new greeting for Theophany. Christ is Baptized! In the Jordan!, so yes, that would replace the Nativity greeting starting tonight (on the Gregorian calendar). But I wouldn’t worry about that when emailing your priest

The priest at my Melkite parish “splashed” a 20-something girl who attempted to not be hit with the Holy Theophany Water (during the sprinkling). 😃
Haha! I feel for her! I kept taking off my glasses so the water wouldn’t splash on them, then when Liturgy was ending and I went up to the front to get my blessing, the priest splashed water on them anyway! 😃
