How long do you use the greeting Christ is Born! Do you stop at Theophany and then change to Christ is Baptized? I ask because I am emailing a priest today. Thank you.
Roman Catholics celebrate Ephiphany today, so technically, it is still Christmas Season. It ends on the baptism of Jesus, next Sunday. How long do you use the greeting Christ is Born! “Splash!” Er, I mean, “In the Jordan!”Christ is baptized!
The priest at my Melkite parish “splashed” a 20-something girl who attempted to not be hit with the Holy Theophany Water (during the sprinkling).“Splash!” Er, I mean, “In the Jordan!”![]()
Haha! I feel for her! I kept taking off my glasses so the water wouldn’t splash on them, then when Liturgy was ending and I went up to the front to get my blessing, the priest splashed water on them anyway! The priest at my Melkite parish “splashed” a 20-something girl who attempted to not be hit with the Holy Theophany Water (during the sprinkling).![]()
