The growth of Leviathan due to social unrest

I am not interested in arguing the point, even though she may have used the comment, as I don’t see pacifism as an anarchist position, just as I don’t see the Church’s position being largely anti-war as anarchist. Nor do I see my classmates who were anti-war, and became conscientious objectors, as anarchists. I think it is more of a misuse of the term when someone is objecting to a specific policy.

I recently did a very fast spin through Robespierre and the overthrow of the monarchy, and while there were many who were trying to provide a structure of law and a constitution, the result was anarchy, as “law” changed almost weekly if not daily, and allies became mortal enemies as matters spun more and more out of control. Mob violence is another aspect of anarchy; not based on any law but rather that of the emotions of the participants.

Therein lies the problem in a lot of democracies. A lack of choice. Quite often you have to choose the least worst option. And any two party state will, almost by definition, polarise the voters.
From what I have observed over the last 40 years is that any country which has multiple parties of relatively equal weight has even more chaos in their governing than the 2 party system we have. And the more choices one has, the less likely there will be in forming a consensus.
I won’t disagree with that ot. Too many choices can be just a detrimental as too few.

Physical comfort made people want to find ways in which it can be prolonged. The development of medicine, technology, freedom of art, freedom of religion, have made people happier with their lives and so they want a more powerful state, one that seems to be able to ensure the entire system in place. Also the rhetoric that the old guys don’t know much and only the youth knows what to do, broke the connections between generations and resulted amnesia makes people forget what politicians promise to each generation so they can repeat the same story over and over and over…
What people as a whole need is memory, even if it’s painful, it has to be there.
But of course the politicians encourage more the thinking about the future, more about the future like a bank commercial - make more credits, buy more of what you want, be happier - simple, right?
What we face today in the world is the abominable growth of demagogy, instituted lies. The act of lying worshipped under the disguise of creativity.
And that is another demon, besides Leviathan that grows…

I think that what the virus has shown us is that we can put everything on pause if we so wish. That there isn’t necessarily a reason to grow. To make more. OK, we need some things to be better but that doesn’t mean it has to be more expensive or require more working hours or destroying more of the planet.

I used to work in building services as a draughtsman. Back in the day it was a sheet of paper and a tee square and a pencil. Then computers arrived and eventually computer aided draughting. And we seriously wondered what we were going to do with our spare time because we could eventually turn out a weeks work in a day.

But what did everyone do? Produce more detailed drawings. Build things quicker. Make more changes. Add ‘more value’. Make the presentations more impressive.

Drove me nuts.

Has it though?
Depression, anxiety and substance abuse are all on the rise.
People talk a good game about tolerance, but they’re very quick to call anyone who disagrees with them “stupid” and “crazy”.

We have more choices and more physical comfort, but I don’t think it made us more happy.

We also have moved far from a norm of accepted moral and theological base. The world have become more and more secularized as we have more and more which makes life “easy” (e.g. better health , more wealth, greater exchange of ideas, and etc.). Secularism leaves one with what I call the ultimate lounge lizard song, “Is that all there is?”.

I can’t weight the situation, I am East European, in the West Europe.
Some extreme nationalists populists in our East European countries say that we representatives of East European States are special, cosmic Christians, unique Christian souls, chosen to guide the humanity to salvation by our inner religious spirit, but most of us are slaves on the West, and slaves of corporations at home and so on, and so fourth …
Yea, but if we would be more honest and less blind, we would see a lot of striking positive changes, we would see that we need to improve a lot.
I do not mean only, high tech, science, education approaches, I mean many other things like - Workability, Justice, corruption, bribary, thefts, there are so many things we need to improve and get rid off.
For example, it was so not easy to unite the Europe, (EU) and some so called modern national prophets want to destroy it by populist superiority complex, not realizing the later consequences…
I think if I would be black, I would try to grow in dignity, first of all before God.
I am standing in front of invisible God, so I have to grow in dignity, integration, creativity, education, noble activities and growth.

It’s good to emphesize on good muscles, like many black guise are doing, (it’s better than alkohol and drugs for sure) but education is better.
Well, even my rap should call to dignity.
I mean to follow Christ is to focus on positive, and not notice the negative, because negative is present always, in all aspects, but I focus on noble and positive, then I ll grow, and let God Almighty alone avaluate my growth.
Some people want to be Lords and masters, - immidiately!
Like NESCAFE effect. - sugar, coffee, milk.
Fast, and at once.
But life teaches us that we achieve something by hard work, and gradual step by step growth.
Often we achieve something through a long, hard journey
