I’ve seen in the forum a few discussions about the Guardian Angel Prayer:
Angel of God
My guardian dear
To whom His love
Commits me here
Ever this day
Be at my side
To light and guard
To rule and guide.
Amen

Should you be interested, here’s a more precise translation along with the latin/italian ones:
Angel of God
who are my guardian
enlighten, guard, rule and guide me
who was given/entrusted to you
by the Divine/Heavenly Mercy.
Amen

Ángele Dei,
qui custos es mei,
me, tibi commissum
pietáte supérna,
illúmina, custódi,
rege et gubérna.
Amen.

Angelo di Dio,
che sei il mio custode,
illumina, custodisci,
reggi e governa me
che ti fui affidato/a
dalla Pietà Celeste.
Amen

The Manual of Indulgences Norms and Grants (USCCB, 2006) has an English translation approved for partial indulgence, Grant 18, p. 62.

Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom his love entrusts me here, enlighten and guard, rule and guide me. Amen.

It almost always is.

So many hymns and chants we do today were originally written in latin, with an intended meter and rhyme.
While the vernacular is awesome, don’t get me wrong, it’s sad that that portion of our heritage has been somewhat lost.

I’ve heard - from some heavy hitters -
that we should say at least one prayer to our Guardian angel through out the day.
I never did this. Didn’t feel…it was right. But now I do.
My niece, when in Catholic schooling, had this one recited. ( she’s in 7th grade regular school now)
Ashamed to say, I didn’t know the child-like rhyme prayer.

She once asked me, " Do you believe in Guardian angels "
“Yes”, I said
She then said, " Do you believe there are angels, with us, right here, right now "
“Yes”, I said.
She was pleased by my answer.
" Right beside me " ?
" I don’t know. Relax. Give me a break. I’m not some sort of mystic, okay "
She was pleased by my answer
