Try this one…

“Read a newspaper, people have forgotten what life is all about.
They’ve forgotten what it is to be alive. They need to be reminded.
They need to be reminded what they have, what they can lose, what I feel, this, the, the, the . . . . . . the joy, the freedom, the
spaciousness of life, the gift of life. This is what they’ve forgotten. This is what they need to remember. This is what we’ll tell them.
Leonard waits for a reaction”

Sorry for the delay, it is from Awakenings with Robin Williams and Robert Dinero.

Here’s one:

“You are very lucky. With Frauline Helga, it was a snake!”

It sounds like it could be from “Young Frankenstein”

No, that’s Frau Blucher (whinny) in Young Frankenstein. But my curiousity got the better of me and I cheated (mea culpa). It is from the Sound of Music the Baron explaining to Maria about the children’s tendencies to play pranks on their guardians.

“When will you finish?”

“When it is finished!”

Rex Harrison in The Agony and the Ecstasy

“Yes I lost a million dollars last year and I’ll probably loose another million dollars this year. And if this keeps up I’m going to have to sell this paper…in 20 to 30 years.” (may not be verbatim as I typed it from memory)

Sounds like Citizen Kane to me.

But wasn’t it guessed correctly?
The ‘I lost a million dollars last year …’ quote? Did you not see that one? I can’t see that my guess on that has been confirmed.

The quote I’m talking about is “When will you finish?” posted by brotherhrolf and guessed correctly by Strummer.

Yes, strummer guessed it correctly and then supplied a new quote for us directly underneath his guess - which is the quote I responded to. Did you not read the whole post?

Oops, I didn’t see it. Sorry.

OOooooKay now.

Yes, Citizen Kane is correct. So, what is the next quote?

this is topical,

Truly this man was the Son of God (need the actor, that is the whole point).

Haha! John Wayne - always makes me laugh to hear ol’ Duke saying that line in his unmistakeable drawl 🙂

Greatest Story Ever Told 🙂

“Well, its a nice soft night so I think I’ll go and join me comrades and talk a little treason.”
