Did the Lord ever need you doing something for him?
Yes. He asked for assistance in caring for my elderly mother. He made it clear to me… that in caring for her needs… I am caring for Him.Did the Lord ever need you doing something for him?
Yes, many times, but I didn’t immediately acknowledge I was doing something for Jesus. When I would stop, reflect, pray and sometimes people would remind me that I did something for Jesus as well as for other person.Did the Lord ever need you doing something for him?
Hi MarieVeronica,Yes. He asked for assistance in caring for my elderly mother. He made it clear to me… that in caring for her needs… I am caring for Him.
“Amen I say to you, as long as you did it for one of these, the least of my brethren, you did it for Me” (Matthew 25:40)
All of us, have these opportunities. Pray for the grace to recognize them. God bless.![]()
The Lord has surely blessed you, Patrick… for the time and the care you gave to your mother. It took me awhile, too… to realize what it was He was asking of me. But we have been so blessed, in being chosen for this particular task. Your mother is smiling down on you, from Heaven… I’m sure. God bless. It’s been a year and a few days since her departure, but I still cry at her loss. Because I’m so alone. I can’t write about this now. Perhaps later.
I missed the boat in helping Jesus. I had a friend that contracted ALS. I, along with other friends, helped him prepare for his imminent passing early on. But as his disease progressed I started to show up less often. I dont’ have a good reason for not going to visit other than to say it was so hard to see him in such a helpless position. Some of the other folks visited and helped his wife with him but I didn’t . I got busy with other things. I never saw him after my last visit which was about 4 months before he died. But it tore me apart at this memorial service that I didn’t stick with him. Our friends showed a slide show of our group camping trips before the disease and one showed him and me playing guitars and singing. Oh man, I tear up just typing that. I miss him. I hate myself for not being there for him. I have no explanation when Christ demands it on my final day. Oh man I’m crying now.Did the Lord ever need you doing something for him?
Hi “Sinnergy”I missed the boat in helping Jesus.
