The Haunted Show

My brother has been watching a television show about hauntings in houses recently, called The Haunted. They have a Catholic Priest and two mediums that will communicate with the demons and, after the communication, the Priest will then cast them out with holy water and such.

So, are mediums in this case okay? I have warned my brother that any speaking to these spirits is wrong and that they are all demons, but with the Priest there, I wondered if it was not wrong to always communicate with them in this way (with a Priest there).
 
The Priest does not need the mediums and I seriously doubt whether he is a real Priest if he associates with mediums.

It is against Catholic teaching to make use of spiritual mediums / ouiji board, or anything of the like. Either he’s not a priest, or he’s ignoring the Church’s teachings on the matter.
