The Hierarchy of the Kingdom of Heaven

This is how I imagine the hierarchy in the Kingdom of Heaven (specifically, the Church Triumphant):

1. Jesus as King of Kings and Lord of Lords
2. The Archangels
3. The other Angels
4. The Saints, the Blessed
5. The general population of mankind who are deemed worthy

I’m wondering if there are also “mayoral positions” amongst the general population. Any further clarifications and corrections are welcomed and encouraged, since I tend to err myself here.

It’s my understanding that the Archangels are the second lowest tier of angelic beings. Seraphim are the highest, then come Cherubim, Thrones, Dominions, Virtues, Powers, Principalities, Archangels, and finally Angels.

Well, everyone is heaven is a saint. A saint is simply someone who is in heaven and sees God’s holy face.

Honestly, after the Holy Trinity, all in Heaven are equal. Not the same, but equal - an angel is still an angel, a man is still a man, and a woman is still a woman, and all in Heaven experience it according to his or her own qualities. I don’t think the orders of angels are necessarily ranks, but instead based on the duties of the angels (besides, three of the classes of angels - dominions, powers, & principalities - are fallen angels IIRC).
The only hierarchy is:

1. Trinity
   Everyone else in Heaven (All Saints and angels)

I believe you need to better define what hierachical order you are speaking of.
In the order of nature angels are at the top ordered by choirs. Here Lucifer is the most perfect creature, but of course he is not in heaven.

So if you are talking of the order of supernathure then God, Mary,…who knows after that.

What I mean by “hierarchy” is just like an “organizational chart”.

So we begin with the Trinity, which is a very generous and benevolent King and High Priest (King of Kings & Lord of Lords), and then the angels, sorted according to what you and Mary_Ellen provided, and the general population of saints (if based on Catholic_96’s observation), with the “named ones” (i.e. canonized by Popes) like Augustine of Hippo and Therese of Lisieux being strong leaders among equals.

There must be a principle/criterion of ranking.
There are various ways of doing it.

I suggest you are confused as to your criterion of ranking and therefore are getting inconsistant results. Why not simply go with what minds much wiser and knowledgable than ourselves cames up with 1000 years ago?

Contrary to your ordering it is clear Mary ranks above the angels in the order of grace - which is what the Kingdom of heaven ia about.

If you would understand something of the hierarchy, the Bible reveals the Temple in the New Jersulem, described in detail. The Temple is made with 12 foundation stones who are the 12 Apostles…etc…etc. Curiously…there is an outer court and Trees of life (along ther banks of the River of Christ) with “leaves for the healing of the nations”.

It seems…the main “hierarchy” will be those built into the Temple…(as where God says He will make of you a pillar)…and those outside

Ps…What a blessing to be considered worthy to be found even among the least in the Kingdom of God!

The hierarchy is needed in any social system or group of people to ensure that the system performs adequatly, meaning that system gets some limited (name removed by moderator)ut (such as resources,…) to produce required limited output. People are ranked and placed in the system based on their expertises and are responsible for their actions. These are basically needed for earthy systems as you need to put one on top of anothers to control the action of anothers. The state of being in haven is the state of being in peace which means that there is no need for any control which comes with fear/no fear. You are in absolute peace because you are absolutly free with your brothers and sisters and others beings.

Look about, brother. EVERYTHING seems dependent on something else…all of creation seems to work within a hierarchical pattern. We live in a world of top dogs, queen bees, lion kings and an entire animal kingdom…not to mention how nature itself has hierarchies of stability…with the most unstable exploding or dying off…and the most stable remaining for long periods of time.

Ps…Jesus refers to the hierarchy of Heaven with parables about the guests at the wedding feast…taking the highest seats and then being asked to sit lower. Certainly, the Lil Flower lived her life as one who would take the lowest seat in the Kingdom of Heaven…and most certainly will be seated quite near the Sacred Heart of God in the Kingdom.
