Just like with everything else you can’t accept everything on the History Channel as Gospel. The programs are written and put together by humans and humans tend to make mistakes or can be very biased. I like the History Channel as a place to get the general idea on historical events so I can actually go from there to research what interests me.

The channel I have more of a problem with is National Geographic. Now they are blatantly ant-Catholic in many of their religious documentaries. So much so that I have sent them emails from time to time, never received responses.

Whatever you watch, even the news, take it in with an open mind and then check several different sources.

If I may ask what kind of documentaries have the National Geographic channel made that are anti-Catholic? I tune in to National Geographic even less than the History channel so I’m intrested to see what their trying to spew out.

Their recent show “The life of Jesus” was so full of heresies, I couldn’t even watch it. Any show they have done on the Church, Eucharist, etc…are slanted in an extremely negative way. I remember sending an email about their representation, or I should say misrepresentation, of the Eucharist. I don’t remember specifics, sorry. They also like to use the phrase “worship of Mary” as much as they can.

They may be more anti-religion than anti-Catholic so I watch their religious documentaries with a grain of salt. I have not been happy with some of their comments about the Church and it’s teachings in general
