His message is okay, there is nothing wrong with it.
But again, I have to ask, does he realize that the people who pay attention to his pronouncements are already dealing with this stuff all day every day?
Sometimes I long for an encouraging word. I already think about death, all day, every day. Mine, other peoples’, and total strangers. The Church constantly talks about death. The Seraphic Mass Association even puts constant ads for Masses for deceased loved ones in my social media feed, with pictures of cemeteries and such.
I’m not depressed - death is a fact of life - but I would like to hear about something else occasionally, something that doesn’t involve young people or families as I’m not young anymore and don’t have a family.
I wish the Pope would say something nice, something joyful. Something that would encourage people like me. Maybe that’s coming at Easter? Maybe it’s selfish for me to have this wish. IDK.
