I came across the Holy Rosary led by Father Damian Anuszewski, O.SS.T. on Spotify .

I am drawn towards it .

It is the Rosary being prayed using some of the heritage of the Eastern Catholic Churches .

I have checked on Google hoping to find a CD and a book where it is written down so that I can follow it more easily , but all I can find are sites to download it on mp3 players .

I can use Spotify to help me to pray the Rosary in this form , but I would like to be able to read the words because I can’t hear clearly all that is being said or sung .

Can anyone help please ?

I’m sorry that I can’t help you. But would like to say thanks for directing me to this. I have recently started praying the rosary everyday. I have downloaded this to my itunes 👍

I had the opportunity to meet Eastern Rite Catholics or Byzantine Catholics whe I went to the Holy Land in 1999. I spoke with a Eastern Rite Caholic Nun and Priest and asked if they prayed the Rosary. They explained that they do not pray the Rosary but they do pray the Jesus Prayer. They wore the Jesus prayer rope and would pray the words “Jesus, Son of the Living God, Have Mercy on me a sinner.” I do realize that there are approximately 20 Eastern Rites of the Catholic Church. I am unaware of any that pray the Rosary.

This is a link to what the OP is referring to :-

It is for all 20 decades , Joyful , Luminous , Sorrowful and Glorious .

I have also just found the information below :-

JOYFUL * SORROWFUL * GLORIOUS * LUMINOUS

For centuries and especially today, the Blessed Mother has called all of her children to pray the Holy Rosary. In this unque package, you will pray and experience the Holy Rosary in the English language, accompanied by the mystical spiritual beauty and richness of prayers, liturgical sacred music, and hymns traditional with the Eastern Byzantine Catholic churches. This production has been developed as an aid for private meditation with each CD having its own spiritual personality. This includes a full choir singing longtime favorite sacred hymns such as Blahosloven Vseem and Veeruu Hospodi to our Lord Jesus; and O Spomahay Nas and Prosimo Tya Deevo to the Mother of God, among other favorites. May this program enhance your spiritual journey and bring you peace. May Our Mother of Perpetual Help protect and guide you always.

I found the rosary in the link posted to be beautiful. Thank you for sharing it.

I’m a cradle Byzantine-rite Catholic and I pray the rosary. 😃 I have a friend who is Chaldean Catholic and she does, too. Some may cry “Latinization”, but the rosary is a private devotion. I would not support Eastern Catholic parishes praying the rosary as a corporate act of worship, but many, many Eastern Catholics (including my priest and his family) pray the rosary.

According to Orthodox Wiki, the rosary was originally an orthodox/eastern devotion (known as the prayer rule of the Theotokos) that was adopted by the west. The two are remarkably similar.

I am a cradle Byzantine also and I totally agree with Babochka here:thumbsup:
