He confirmed what Scripture says:

We have come to know and to believe in the love God has for us.
God is love, and whoever remains in love remains in God and God in him. 1 John 4:16

I have had experiences before when I would receive Holy Communion and I knelt down to pray after I started to feel very overwhelmed and felt like crying tears of joy. I honestly can’t explain it but I know it was the Holy Spirit. Also sometimes when I pray or say Jesus I love you I feel overwhelmed it’s beautiful.

I feel similarly. I get an overwhelming feeling of something and I just cry and cry. Ever since starting RCIA and going through the Rite of Welcoming…I have been crying so much.

I think one thing to keep in mind is that the Holy Spirit operates best in us when we are in a state of humility.

Another key I think is that revealed in the Gospel with Simeon. It says Simeon was an upright and devout man…and the Holy Spirit was upon him. (Luke 2:25-2:26)

To be one with the Holy Spirit I see the path to follow is that of Simeon, living upright and devout as a Christian. That in turn opens the door for the Spirit to flow through us.

You turn on a light at night in the summer and you attract bugs; you turn a light on in your soul in the darkness of this jungle world with a smile, a good deed, a positive thought, a prayer, and act love from within you, you attract the Holy Spirit.
