HOW to explain THE HOLY TRINITY to children or non catholic—any good publications—any suggestions appreciated

Well it is important to understand the difference between a being and a person.
Being describes WHAT something is.
Person describes WHO someone is.

WHAT am I? I am a single human BEING.
WHO am I? I am [Judas Thaddeus] (don’t mind my privacy :)).

WHAT is God? God is a single Divine BEING.
WHO is God? God is the Father. God is the Son. God is the Holy Spirit.

That’s one way to go about it, but here’s also a more complex explanation:
There is only ONE God.
God is the Father, the Son, & the Holy Spirit.
The Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit is not the Father.
NEVERTHELESS,
The Father, the Son, & the Holy Spirit “IS” the ONE GOD.
There is ONLY One God.

I hope that helps.

In legend, St. Patrick used a shamrock–three equal leaves but only one sprig–to teach about the Trinity. It’s a nice comparison that a small child can understand.

Hello, I apologize for my tardiness, but here is a method to consider:

Did you know that if you were God, the person who created everything, you would have to be 3 distinct persons? Here is why:
As the person who created everything, your greatest creation possible is an unlimited number of True Friends.
To fulfill this creation, you must be:
  1. The all-knowing lawgiver and judge, in order to ensure only everlasting true friends can live in the friendly society.
  2. The only begotten of the judge, in order to participate as a friend in the society.
  3. The giver of life, in order to compassionately demonstrate the growth process from ignorance to perfect friendliness.
Thanks for your time and consideration! I look forward to further discussion!
